Santana Beach Resort

On the whole it was a very nice experience. Got to see a lot of Goa, and enjoyed the restaurants around the area. The hotel staff were very friendly, and made me feel very much at home in North Goa, as it was my first time in this part. Of course, I had been to Goa a number of times when I was younger, but I really felt at home, and very comfortable during my stay at the resort. I felt a little sad to leave, coz my trip was a bit on the short side, and I really enjoyed the comforts of the resort. I will definitely come back to the resort (probably with my family) in the future, and spend good quality time in Goa, and explore more places during my visit to Goa in the future. I would like to thank all the staff at the Santana Beach Resort for making my stay a very pleasant and memorable one.

Had a wonderful and satisfactory stay here, all credit to my wife, who (luckily) made a right choice to select this place (thanks to reviews from other travellors too). Property is good with all facilities available at your convenience( except late at nights when the staff needs sleep too). So about the resort, it is not so grand, still well planned and planted. I like the way alleys were planned giving sufficient privacy as well as comfort and shades. Staff was very friendly and humble. Good soothing taste of food, thought i would insist anyone to have the continental dishes more. Alcohol rates are pocket friendly. Two pools are great stress busters, but 100 mts walk and whole ocean at your feet was more attractive. They have tie up with the beach shack 'Calamari' ( the food is delicious). I enjoyed the place because of its two main things. First its at the clean beach side, away from the crowd of Bagha and Calangute ( my earlier preference was to stay near calangute, dont regret anymore) and second thing, resort has good taste for greenery, well maintained and artistic plantation gave me good feel. Don't wonder why the foreign travellers could lie down all day there. The bigger pool is much better "sadly diving i not allowed:(" still i sneaked one in without anyone noticing and impressed my wify" . Watersports activities are just nearby. Auto rentals just at a walking distane. Good leisure place for the foreign tourists. Ask for Translators if needed.

The resort is bang on the beach and thus a good place to stay. booking through hotels.com gave us good discount but then the manager was not willing to show is the rooms nearer to the beach.

I like the courteous staff. The room is another plus. Spacious and comfortable! After much requests we were given a room that we desired. Complimentary breakfast could have been better. Options were limiting. The exterior of the hotel need a facelift. This of course is my opinion.

We visited this hotel based on reviews and we were not sure what to expect. However this place is a real surprise. The property and the gardens are beautiful . Very close to a nice beach and with a pool , it meets all holiday requirements. The breakfast is a good mix and we liked the restaurant menu though I should mention that it is more suitable to foreign guests ( we were ok as we like that kind of food ). The rooms are clean and most open to the garden which is lovely. The staff is excellent and understand the meaning of customer service really well . Especially the restaurant staff ( to name a few Anthony and Subal ) Don't expect it to be like a five star hotel cause it's not . For the price you pay , it's a really good hotel.

Well, two things that jump in my head are: 1. Wifi was charged! Very strange service cause even shacks maintain free wifi... 2. Check out time was non negotiable which left a bitter taste. One hour up n down is acceptable. After the issues comes the good part... Nice poolside bar, breakfast included, sunny lawns n proximity to the beach. Loved the room as well...

We stayed in feb for 3 days and we loved our room. It wasn't facing the sea or anything but we liked the fact that we could come crash at a nice clean room after a hard night of partying. They hav a lil kitchen area which was a nice touch. The rooms r private n not like stacked next to each other. It's a sweet property with 2 pools, so anyone looking to relax in the day before they head out to party at night, it's one option. We were pleasntly surprised how clean the rooms were. I kind of wasn't expecting much for the price we paid. I'll come back here again. Our ac broke down at night n started leaking water in the room and the guy that came to fix it was looking to just get his job done. We told him we need to go out very soon so come do this later but he was v adamant. I figured he's not the hotel staff. One call to the reception and that guy was told to take his as*s out of our room! Just this one glitch, other than that it was all good. It's placed v well, baga calingut are stone throw away. We prefer staying in the city where it's safe. Rented a car, which the reception hooked us with. I gotta Giv it to the hotel for making an effort to keep this place clean n smelling good. Nabe isn't much but it's the guvs fault lol

Due to the "budget" description on the net we were anxious about the booking as we were travelling with young children, but once there all our fears vanished. It's a very well located resort a few metres off the main road (and Candolim town) and a few metres to the Dando beach. The welcome drink was refreshing and the staff were cordial. The pool facing room was clean and had plenty of sunshine. The breakfast in the morning was great, please do ask for the alternatives as they do offer cooked breakfast other than what is laid out ... all inclusive in the package we selected. Plenty of options to eat out within a kilometre and the beach shack adjoining the property wasn't bad at all. Our entire holiday was spent between the pool and the beach, which is accessible from the resort without stepping out onto the main road. Overall highly recommended and we'll go again.
