The Feathers Hotel

The location was central and convenient to visiting Ludlow.

The hotel is clearly showing its age and is in need of some TLC, particularly when it comes to the décor and furnishings. While most of the staff were polite and helpful, a small minority could have been more attentive and professional. That said, one male receptionist really stood out for going above and beyond to make guests’ stays as pleasant as possible, and his efforts deserve recognition. The rooms were mostly clean. Overall, the property feels tired and overdue for investment and refurbishment. I appreciate that the building is several hundred years old, but historic charm doesn’t have to mean worn-out or neglected.

Absolutely fantastic stay spoilt Pete ao much for his birthday which was very much appreciated. TOM went above and beyond, a fantastic front of house host. Can't believe you charge £7.50 (per night) separately for the care park. Surely at the price of the room it'll be included. Thank you for a special couple of days 💕

lovely building to the front (not the 70s or 80s rooms).

receptions smells funny but might just be polish! shower lethal (v slippy!) and they take 50 quid from you - why?? no midway bar etc!

The situation is perfect for visiting Ludlow. We love the building, its age and history. The room was comfortable and tastefully designed.

Breakfast! By 9am, lots of things were running out. Many people arrived after us and experienced the same thing. Staff took too long to respond to requests for replenishments; and were slow to clear up the first course when delivering the second!

We had a lovely, warm welcome. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Fabulous bath, very luxurious. It's easily walkable to everywhere in the town.

Perfect location in the centre of the town. Very comfortable, large room. We did not have breakfast so can't comment on that. Very helpful staff.

Car park a bonus but very tight! Waiting-on staff (dinner) very willing, but require a little more training

Very good location, handy to the centre and the railway station. Lovely old place. Lots of comfortable cosy places to sit and natter or have a drink. Breakfast buffet was OK and dinner in the restaurant was good. Staff were very helpful and really tried their hardest.

I had a "small double room" for single occupancy and it was VERY small, with scarcely room to unpack one's things, though the bathroom was very spacious and well appointed.

The food for a Sunday lunch was OUTSTANDING, and not over priced, very local to the main town.
