Clean, welcoming, great food and I do mean great food, lovely bedroom and great people. I will be back!

Had a warm welcome on arrival,nice room with lovely bathroom.Food was home cooked and tasty and I would stay here again .

Excellent pub, great food and drinks range. Very friendly owners and staff. Accommodation is of a good standard for a pub.

A very nice country pub inn. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with a big bathroom attached. Food and service very good.

I can't give the hotel a proper rating because Expedia messed up the booking and didn't tell the hotel we needed two rooms for four people. We arrived late in the evening to a nasty surprise for us and the staff. The proprietors were brilliant and arranged for us to use a holiday cottage across the road which they supplied with self-catering breakfast. They couldn't have done any more to sort out a problem not of their making and to make sure we were looked after. Great service is often a rarity and so I'm giving them five stars just for that. I'm sure their place is good too!

Staff friendly & helpful. Close access to Hadrian Wall, quiet big room and great breakfast. Would recommend😊

Brilliant food comfortanle room.

Only an overnight stay but would definitely return. The staff were helpful & friendly. The rooms were well appointed with modern bathrooms .Cleanliness was good. We had an excellent dinner & breakfast. Location good though quite isolated in a pretty village

Very pleasant local country pub with a good choice of food. Village is very small. It is about an hours walk (3 miles) to Brampton but there is little there in the evening. except a couple of pubs offering food. We chose to eat at the Blacksmiths.
