Alma Lodge Guest House

Lovely, friendly hosts. There was parking outfront. Our ensuite bathroom was huge. Loved that we could open the bedroom window. A very affordable option especially considering it included a full cooked breakfast. We walked into Plymouth and down around the water. It was a beautiful way to spend the evening. For those that like walking it took us half an hour to the water and was an easy walk.

Our room was very tight so we could only open the suitcases on the bed however this was as expected. Fine for one night.

The hosts were lovely and gave us so much information regarding visiting Plymouth. They informed us that our concert had been cancelled, which was rhw first time we had hears about it being cancelled. Kerry really made us feel welcome and made sure that we had everything that we needed Breakfast was good, there were choices. We would recommend for visiting the local area, Plymouth argyle or just the centre which was a 25 min walk.

The othy couple of things that I would mention is no iron/ironing board or hairdryer. No mirror in the bathroom and could do with black out curtains in the summer months as we were woken up really early.

Fantastic room and breakfast, both were Fantastic, also the lady that surved breakfast was super helpful and full of local information. Never used a Guest House before but will use this one everytime I visit Plymouth.

Staff were well organised, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and served promptly. There was no waste as you had to order exactly what you were going to eat, the night before. Thank you!

There was a problem paying with my bank card, which has never happened to me before. Perhaps a card machine would be easier than using an Ipad?

The breakfast choice was a bit limited and no choice of eggs fresh fruit or tomatoes Would have preferred tea in a pot as normal No serviettes

Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly.

Room was a bit on the small side for two people.

I liked that it was a walkable distance from the town centre, good WiFi, homely setting, cool lock and security system and really good tasting English breakfast.

During a heatwave the host might want to consider adding an extra fan in rooms, thankfully though that does not happen often in the UK.

Very welcoming and friendly. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable clean room. Good location.

Nothing major but the TV in the room had seen better days!!
