Hospitality 2nd to none. staff very focused very kind and caring.

Bit of a wait at Reception. Quite a busy establishment but worth the wait. Rooms are very quaint but a little bit small. Cozy, clean and well stocked.

"A lovely lunch in a beautiful restaurant"

10.0

We had the pleasure of visiting The Wolborn while travelling to Stonehenge. The bar area felt very homely, and we were asked to check in at the host’s desk for our table. The host was pleasant and initially showed us to a table in the bar area. We could see that the restaurant looked gorgeous, so we asked if we could be moved there instead. The host happily obliged and moved us to a larger table in the beautiful restaurant area. It really is stunning. Initial service was a little slow when it came to ordering our first drinks, taking around 10 minutes, but it didn’t really matter as the room was lovely and the chairs were very comfortable. We ordered the garlic and rosemary flatbread to share with mozzarella, and it was absolutely amazing. It sounds simple, but the addition of rosemary and what we think was cracked sea salt on top made it so flavourful. The dough was cooked perfectly, and the mozzarella was generous and melted beautifully. It was also quite large, so definitely enough to share between two to get you started. For mains, we ordered the steak frites and the Mediterranean salad. We really liked that you could add your own toppings to the salad from a good choice of options — we chose burrata and chicken. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. I also ordered the mushroom sauce, which was actually the star of the dish for me , absolutely delicious. The fries were crispy and cooked perfectly too. The portion sizes of both meals were just right. We didn’t order dessert as we were also eating out again in the evening. The staff were super friendly and smiley, which was lovely, and once we had ordered, the food arrived quickly. The toilets were nice and well cleaned. The chefs are clearly very talented and it was well worth a visit.
