I love our stay in the hostel with my friends

Very close to all Transportation and the Old City.

Staff is super friendly, but the area is not a great one, not dangerous, Israel is very safe but looks sketchy. The building, looks like an old high school, run down. Breakfast ok. I stay one night after returning from one of their tours to Petra, stsyed in a private room with shower, was ok, but I wont stay more than 1 or 2 days

This is a really great hostel, bfast is pretty standard and the bar has nice options and does a delicious pizza. The location is great, just a 5NIS tram ride from the new gate, also close to the train station and therefore easy to get to from Tel Aviv and its airport. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, so why not a perfect review? The aircon unit was noisy, the fans in it need refurb as the bearings sound like they are failing. Secondly, and there is no way to put this nicely, we had a private room with private toilet and the toilet stank of stale piss. There were also used towels left from previous guests. The communal toilets were spotless and our issues were mentioned upon checking out and given how well the hostel is run I am fully confident this will be remedied. Honestly I would stay here again, the positives outweigh the negative.

Central location. Clean room & linen. Facility to store baggage when you are away is a plus. Kitchen appliances not up to snuff. Self cleaning of plates, cutlery & utensils makes cleanliness of these items a matter of personal hygiene that impacts subsequent users. Only a few of the front desk people take courtesy to customers seriously.

Friendly environment. Helpful staff. Food was good.

The accommodation itself was great. I went on two of their tours and enjoyed the hummus making workshop. They have themed nights, which were fun and a great way to meet people. The walk to the old city is about 20 minutes through a shopping district. The only issue I had was their lack of flexibility with bookings. I had a last minute change to my trip and lost 7 nights of paid accommodation. They fall back on their "policy" with no budging. No part refunds or exchanges were offered. It was busy at the hostel and there was a good chance they filled my bed after I left, receiving double payment. It doesn't seem right. I will not stay with them again for this reason. It is a shame since I enjoyed my time there. Be warned.

Has gotten much more expensive

Staff were helpful and breskfast was the best. Loved the fact that we could use the kitchen anytime except evening of shabat! Will be highly returning to this hostel.
