Abraham Jerusalem

I stayed here in May, 2019 as a solo male traveler, using a four bed male dorm. I definitely recommend this place. True, it is older but for the economy traveler it has all you need. The bunk beds were OK and had outlets and reading lamps, the breakfast buffet was good with its emphasis on vegetables (lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, dressings) and bread, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. It just seemed to me that they were all about serving their guests rather than making a big profit off of them. The front desk staff will take the time to help you understand how to use public transit and other vital information; the big breakfast/social hall/lounge can be used all hours for visiting, reading, doing computer work, cooking on your own if you wish most hours, yet its location made it so that noise generated there did not find its way down the halls of the dorm rooms. There was a nice healthy mix of youthful backpacker type travelers as well as 60-somethings such as myself, and everyone was friendly. The neighborhood appeared safe and walkable day and night. It is not a long walk to the old city. On site: Elevator, a fountain for drinking water, and self service laundry. Fast food and mini markets nearby. There is a computer in the lobby but they do charge to use it. The WIFI worked very well. Lockers in room but bring a lock. Buses (multiple lines) and light rail very close by. All in all a strong "yes" recommendation.

Super friendly, LGBT-friendly staff. Perfect location outside the Hadavidka tram stop (5 minute walk to Mahaneh Yehuda market and a couple of stops away from the train station and from the old city).

I liked the feel of the place and the staff were very nice. I hated the underbed lockers and would have preferred a stand up one. Also my friend had someone sharing her bunk and he came in at 2.30am disturbing her which is unacceptable.

Helpful staff. Most comfortable bunk bed I’ve ever slept on. I had 4 person for room. Share bathroom. It wAs very clean. Breakfast was good. Great coffee machine!

Nice hostel in a central location. Good facilities and plenty going on if you do want to get involved, although there is no pressure to do so. The trip I took from the hostel was also excellent. Good value accommodation

This was an extension of a prior reservation, and I was able to stay in the same room, which was great. It was very comfortable for an older woman to stay at the hostel. I was very pleased with the experience.
