"Great B&B close to downtown"

10.0

We stayed during off-season, and the owner said that she fills the rooms with students during these months. But you wouldn't know it from how well behaved they were. We were on the top floor and still adjusting to the time change, and we were never woken up from noise. it was the perfect distance to walk down town and easy to get to driving in and out of Galway.

"Disappointed"

4.0

The room was very small, just enough space for bed. En-suite tiny not suitable for couple. Area of Galway was really nice. I travel to Galway quite often & would not consider staying there again.

"Quite cozy hotel close to city center"

8.0

The hotel facilities are nice, however the room was small and the bathroom was tiny. Our shower drain also didn't work too well. The owners are very sweet and helpful and the wife makes a good Irish breakfast (cost is 10euros). The hotel was located close to city center, at walking distance. When it says limited parking, they have 6 spots available in front of the house so if ever you check in later, there might not be any spots left. Parking on the street is mostly park meters.

"Location only winning point."

2.0

Not overly impressed with the Lynfield Guest House. It is expensive considering that you are dragging your suitcases up one or two staircases. The bedding is questionable. The toilet paper laid in the floor. The parking is wild. I stupidly left my raincoat and a warm fleece jacket in the closet in my room. I phoned the owner, gave him my pertinent information and asked could the coats be forwarded to Dublin where I would be staying for a night prior my departure. That gave him 5 days to send it with a local, a bus, a train. When I reached Dublin, my belongings were not there. I phoned the Lynfield guest house. No attempt was made to accommodate me. No sympathy. No empathy. He basically told me it was my fault. If as a traveller, you are 100% sure you will not forget a camera, shoes etc...good luck with that. Avoid the Lynfield guest house.
