Good, clean room. Bathroom a little in the small side but entirely adequate.

Bedside tables are 'tired' and need replacing.

Clean room and free parking good location.

That the place is also a halfway house for homeless / drunks, and not noted on booking site. No water for a shower at 5am because pump went down and cold water at 6pm when went for shower after work... finally got hot water about 7.45pm. Going over other reviews this is not a first.

Always a pleasure to stay here and the location is brilliant,didn't eat in the restaurant this time but the food is ten out of ten

Large rooms and comfy bed. Though staff weren’t always on hand, the ones you did meet were polite enough

I am in two minds about this hotel. We were there for a wedding and, the wedding was lovely. Food from the neighbouring restaurant was super tasty, however the bar in the hotel was extortionate for location, ill equip with nothing on tap The hotel is clearly housing the homeless which, though this is great for them, it isn’t advertised anyway which resulted in a few awkward encounters and, as three young women the night before the wedding, it felt really uncomfortable with people constantly walking around. I feel this should be stated on booking Our room had a TERRIBLE smell. A mix of sewage and smoke which clung. Reception staff were almost nonexistent. You had to ring a bell to get attention then wait a while for that. They’re clearly using the staff from the restaurant next door for the hotel. We weren’t told check in or check out times and we’re just handed a key with no information on our stay. The hotel is exceptionally dated. Though it has character it is very worn. The beds were comfortable, the rooms bright but besides that, the hotel needs some TLC and improvement. If I hadn’t been there for a function I would have likely checked out earlier

Very convenient for Westgate rail station

Did not feel particularly safe in the locale at night. The front entrance, which is reasonably lit is not in use, instead the side entrance, which is not so well lit is the one that has to be used
