This was a hidden gem, the hotel was lovely and clean,the staff were very friendly and we're always helpful and the food was amaszing

Good experience of time and facilities at the priority . Didn’t have the opportunity to try the tasting menu. The only thing we didn’t like - was that the room walls are thin and conversations easily audible , especially later in the late nights there was a lot of disturbance and you don’t get the much desired peace and quiet you set out for .

Breakfast on day two inedible Poached eggs one not cooked properly other rock hard smoked haddock cold sitting in water on plate Manager said chef was having a bad day!!

We have a lovely stay. Michael was so helpful and services are really good. The area are so quiet and calm, the are fanatics… highly recommended.

Surrounding area was beautiful and close to Keswick and towns throughout. Close drive to Buttermere Lake. The room was standard but quite tight for a high-end hotel and the wall corners of the bathtub ahd black spots with mold. Great staff service, dine-in dinner is excellent quality and the breakfast as well. The cocktail on the expensive side for the amount in the glass.

Had an amazing stay. Don’t miss the tasting dinner. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Located in a perfect spot.

Lovely hotel, kind staff, clean room and comfy bed. We we're very impressed indeed and will definitely be back. The hotel is a 5min walk to the beautiful Derwent lake and a 10min drive from Keswick.
