A good value stay, really enjoyed it

Sarah and Henry are super hosts, always so welcoming. The room was ideal with an extremely comfortable double bed and excellent flat screen TV. Breakfast was delicious. Being so close to the M6 is really important for me.

Bed a little uncomfortable

Breakfast promptly served. Just ordered coffee and toast. Both good. Bedroom clean. Tea/coffee facilities adequate.

Thin duvet; no extra blankets, etc. Water in basin didn't warm. Shower in need of updating; clumsy, clunky. No hairdryer, local information, etc in room; just bare. Greeting on arrival perfunctory and cold. I have an injured knee and limped in unsteadily, having just driven from London. Apologised for my entrance and explained. Host handed me my key to first floor room via steep stairs and said, 'Will you be alright with your luggage.' He didn't pick it up and say, 'Follow me.' First impressions do count. In the morning the large breakfast room was fully set but there were only two other people. The host pointed to a table and said, 'Sit there.' I sat in this vast room with the two other people in my eyeline. You enter the dining room by way of what I assume is now a defunct bar - just a bare wooden structure with no glasses, bottles, etc. I presume there is no licence, but what a cheerless place.

Breakfast was fantastic cooked to order. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Breakfast was great; even got a banana to cut up on my Weetabix. A great meal and friendly service. Owner greeted us at the door and explained everything.

Road was confined to one way only and view from bedroom was of a new industrial building. Not the fault of the hotel but just saying.

some aspects of room could be a little cleaner - blinds in room 2 for instance show signs of mouldy/dampness. no itv on tv? Lack of plug options in room for device charging -

Was very nice, clean and a good size room. The lady who let me in was lovely and friendly.
