Really clean. Friendly hosts. Away from the hustle of town centre. Access to trams over the road.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel as a family of four, with our two young children (ages 3 and 9), and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The room (with a bunk bed) was spacious, clean, and perfect for a family. Everything felt well-maintained. The continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for families, we’ll definitely be back!

Blackpool is like Miami Beach fifty years ago - an everyman's beach resort. Ocean Bay is a grand example of that kind of old school hotel. A little bit "nanny", with the regular intimidations about smoking, or even eating, in one's room. For Your Own Good. But they're up front and honest about it, and probably seldom need to enforce. Otherwise, the rooms are clean, and there is only a tiny amount of black mold in the shower, the staff/owners are personable and have genuine concern for guests. Vastly preferable to an indifferent chain hotel. The location is excellent, near to the beach And Pleasure Beach. As good as Blackpool gets.

The hotel is likely at least 100 years old, and it shows. Dated Blackpool tackiness; (plastic plants and decorations, bunk beds, steep stairs, a cold breakfast; you get the jist.

When arrived noticed it said contractors welcome, thout oh no..on entering reception ceiling must have been a leak, mixed but not totaly repaired...checked in, on way up to room noticed the carpet on most of the steps was thread bare, holes in the carpet, thout oh dear, once shown to our room, tried to shut the bedroom door to discover it wouldnt shut, had to really bang it to shut, no towels in room, room well checked it over, it was a nogo for me, it was just not clean window sill had brown stuff all over it, the sink tap was covered in thick crusted limescale couldnt turn the tap on..hole down side of the shower in the wall, carpets stained cellings not repaird or painted where leaks have been. Couldnt unpack as there was no wardrobe just a rail with hangers.spoke to reception about no towels said they would pop some in a carrier bag n leave on door handle, on return found i bathtowel that was it for 2night for 2 people..moved out very next morning told reception that wasnt happy, he just said read the reviews....someone from bookings needs to check this hotel, as it was sold in 2022 and old pics from then are on the site...total horrid hotel at 168.oo for 2nights aint cheap...
