Nice Hotel good location, good food but a bit limited menu wine expensive. Room clean very small TV and heating not on.
Unfortunately, didn't have chance to sample the real ales as only there one night. Was quite shocked that there was no shower, only a bath with hand held mixer - we were in a rush to get to an all night ball and this was inconvenient. Should be clearer on the advert. Also, as first visit to Dartmouth, location seemed to be 'out in the sticks' and hard to get to. On the whole, staff, room was good and the breakfast was excellent!
We had a great stay at The Durant Arms & we’d definitely go back. Reason why I marked facilities down is because of the interference on the tv reception, can’t have anything getting in the way of MOTD!
Breakfast was generous and having pub downstairs for dinner was very convenient. Val (cleaner and server) was very friendly and personable. Welcome was poor -- a note left on door without even a welcome comment but at least they were expecting us. Carpet needs to be replaced. Wallpaper should be stripped and either replaced on walls should be painted. Would not take much to make it much better!

Good room, excellent cooked breakfasts with top quality ingredients (but no fruit), decent ales, wines and restaurant meals. Only downside was a rather noisy fan somewhere outside our room, it ran on and off throughout the nights.
Had a nice overnight stay with family in this charming country hotel. Our stay was enjoyable and I would recommend the hotel and food in the pub. I did however feel it was rather over priced for the facilities provided.
In the middle of nowhere which is ok until you have Morris dancers arrive at 8pm and then stay all evening singing sea shanties with accompanying accordion. Nowhere to go to get away from them. Ruined our evening with friends. Would not stay here again. On the positive side, breakfast was ok!
