Dogs are allowed in our bedrooms and outside, however not in the bar or restaurant. We believe that dogs are part of the family and there is no need to leave any four-legged guests behind for your staycation. We have created special packages for overnight stays in our bedrooms that we have designated as dog friendly. Complete with their own doggy bed, blanket, bowl, and welcome box of tasty treats, up to a maximum of two dogs per room can stay with you, where available, for ÂŁ20 per pet, per night.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable

Due to the inter leading door the neighbours were very noisy. I did have a word with staff the next day and they kindly spoke to the neighbours to keep it down

We didn't eat there but the food looked very good. Room was excellent, spacious & very comfy bed. Well situated as well, a 10minute walk to the main part of town. very dog friendly too. Ben was very impressed!

"Good enough place, and the staff tried hard, but some systemic issues."

The place is right across from the station, so very convenient. Check in was smooth and friendly. Room was small but adequate, bathroom was nice and clean. Food was OK and the bar was warm and friendly.

I booked through booking.com and immediately got an email asking why I hadn't booked directly with the establishment where I would have got a better deal - suggested I call to get that. I called and was told they didn't really have any better deals and I might risk losing the room altogether - what was the point in all that! On entering the room there was a very strong smell of air freshener - hit the eyes and throat immediately. Turns out an air freshener had been left plugged in, presumably to try to hide something - smoke maybe? Unplugged it and tried to open the window to get rid of it. Sash window wouldn't stay open so had to rig up a solution with towels and a book. Not a good start. TV would only receive a few of the free channels, basically ITV1 and even that reception was pretty flakey. I asked for help at reception. the guy came and fiddled but could not improve the situation - apparently mine the only room with this problem. No offer of a change of room or a solution. Said he would look into it, but never heard back. Breakfast service was very slow - waited 10 minutes to place an order even though only three tables occupied. Asked to sign the bill, had to go to the bar to trigger that. Staff very friendly but either distracted or spread too thin.

Friendly staff. Easy parking. Dog friendly. Varied menu. Comfy beds

The towel rail did not work in the bathroom. Asked for it to come on, but it never did, even after a maintenance guy went in. The toilet seat does need screwing down, very wobbly (surprised the cleaner doesn't chase it) Not sure about the hygiene of the flooring in the bathroom? Waited a while for breakfast both mornings.
