They offer a nice breakfast and the location and parking are great. Furnishings and property are old and need a face lift

Very friendly place to stay. Close to the town centre but with a prime location on the seafront. Great breakfast!

"Good honest food!"

10.0

I was staying at the hotel close by, so popped in quite often for quick Cornish cider in the large outdoor space, but on the last time I had some food, the weather was a bit iffy but risked it, had a rib eye steak with hand cut chips, salad and pepper sauce, very nice home cooked food, over the road from the sea, friendly staff, not an awful lot to do in Penzance so worth a visit!

"Amazing Food"

10.0

We went for a family meal and was not disappointed. We hadn't made a reservation but managed to get a table, it was fairly busy but was welcomed by a young lady who showed us to our table, she did mention that there was a bit of a wait as there were a couple of large tables before us. The menu was quite extensive with a wide selection of dishes. We had a mix of seafood, pizzas burgers and pasta. The chowder was the best my husband has had, both the pizza's and burgers are prepared inhouse and were so tasty and my pasta dish was to die for. No room for desserts, but we still got some to take away. OMG the cheesecakes are WOW, apparently homemade, the Ferrero Rocher was amazing. Great food, staff, definitely recommend and we will be back.

"3 Night stay August bank holiday."

4.0

We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay August bank holiday. At best its a 2* hotel even in peak season the bar closes at 10pm onThursday's & 11pm Friday's sharp! There's no way to get a late drink in total darkness. Breakfast was average. The rooms are in a bad need of upgrading we had a terrible drain smell in our room they left air fresheners in the room! The shower was awful a dribble. A dated hotel in need of an upgrade.

Please avoid, very poor experience. Our shower did not work and particular staff were rude, rolling eyes at guests, seemed to have guests who were their friends and were rude to others. The noise was unbearable, there was music and a DJ playing that you could hear all the way down the promenade and in our room which was above the noise, it was the only thing you could hear. We were not informed that this would be the case by staff. We made the decision to check out a day early as we were unable to relax. Very upsetting experience and unless you are a big pub goer I would avoid at all costs.

"Fish Chowder to Remember!"

10.0

I ate in the restaurant and ordered Cornish Fish Chowder. Local sourced seafood includes crab mussels monkfish squid. Like a clam chowder but better. Came w “chips” ( French fries) the burgers, pizza and other seafood dishes looked good too. It was a crowded Saturday night but the servers were friendly and efficient
