Hotel Wassenaar

Length of stay : 3 nights Strength: -Beautiful area near by the beach, wassenaar village, Den Haag.. -Free Parking -Free wifi (its not anymore a luxuous option) -The bed & the pillows was confortable Weakness: -The price was higher than the standards of the hotel. -Staff not friendly at all (they can keep you waiting on the desk while they are having a conversation on the phone, when the call is over they can forget that you are there!) -The room is very basic like a 2 stars hotel -Carpet smells. -Breakfast to avoid, better to have a breakfast nearby. -rooms having a view on the road are very noisy because of the bad isolation. you can wake up at 5H in the morning because of trucks. thats too bad cause the hotel have a big potential to be a reference (geographic situation, the area, many rooms.) if i was the owner or the manager of that hotel i have to wonder... i visit frequently the area, am sure am not going to get back to that hotel anymore.. hope that my comment will be usefull for future users.

We paid 75 plus the tourist tax of 5, the desk price was 90, ask for a discount. Rooms are fine, tv and a room to remember with the bathroom in another floor but inside the room. Pretty cool. We stayed there since it was the cheapest we found. Do not consider it if you don't have another car, it's a long walk.

Absolute genius idea to host my daughter's birthday sleepover at Hotel Wassenaar (logistical reasons mean my house is just not big enough...). I write this from the adjoining room to the suite where 6 9yos are having a fab time playing at being 'big girls', in a lovely suite complete with jacuzzi bath, fridge and microwave for the popcorn, watching a DVD after a lovely dinner being looked after by the lovely hotel manager, for whom nothing is too much trouble. This is how to do party sleepovers...

We've booked 2 days in this hotel to go to a marriage of family. We woke up at 6am because of the noise of cars on the road outside. After our complaint we could sleep the 2nd night in a room at the backside of the hotel. However this was a room with 2 separated beds.

I stayed here on a recent business trip, room cost around £65. Room was at the top of the building, it was clean but had a strange and slightly dangerous layout, there were stairs in the room up to the bathroom. The stairs were very steep, and the bathroom had no door on it, very strange, I've never been in any hotel without a door on the bathroom, thank god I wasn't sharing the room! There was no soap, only shampoo and shower gel. There were no tea/coffee making facilities, no thermostat in the room, my room was really cold when I arrived. My colleague had real difficulty opening the door to her room, the mechanism was certainly faulty. The hotel is next to a fairly busy road, so there is some traffic noise. I wouldn't stay here again.

We were on holiday in Holland and stayed two nights at this hotel. It is very well situated and easy to reach. If you get a room on the ground floor you can park your car in front of the room. Very convenient. There is a wonderful restaurant in the hotel where we enjoyed a gourmet dinner. The reception was very helpful with information.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were helpful. It is about a 40 minute walk into Wassener, but the hotel is on a bus route (hourly) and hires bikes (a good means of exploring). My main criticism is the lack of coffee making facilities in the room; otherwise very satisfied with my stay.

Excellant, well run hotel. Superb breakfast. Excellant location if traveling by car.

The staff here were not helpful at all - Rude !!! The was a constant smell within the hotel rooms (Rotten eggs) Also, hotel was not open fully (which was not advertised!) and lights did not work and vent in bathroom was open hole in wall.
