Kalimna Woods Cottages

Such a cute setting - like a snow white and the seven dwarves cottage in the fairy woods (like in a fairytale). Lovely little cottage with everything that you need. The bedsheets were cotton (win) and very home-like and relaxing. Full internet and Netflix to relax with in the evening. The hosts were very friendly and a whole selection of DVDs were available to use cost free (1999 nostalgia). We were greeted by cute little Bantum hens outside our cottage in the morning, who wanted a feed. Fresh air and very very quiet and restful. Great for families.

The shower facilities required stepping into which is not a problem for me, but just something to be mindful of if travelling with the elderly or people with challenged mobility or lots of young children. From this perspective, the bathroom facilities may need some consideration. Totally fine for a young couple though (although if you want a romantic weekend getaway, you might want to hire the cottage with the bath). But we only needed a quick overnight stay, so it was totally fine.

I liked the location. Bush setting, quiet and good birdlike.

Arrival communication was poor, no phone contact as message bank was full? The photos looked lovely online but cottages were basic and need an update to meet standards that the price demands.

Retro country style wooden cabin with cosy wood burning fireplace located on farm with goats and chickens. Kids would enjoy the animals. Beds were comfy and it was nice the electric blanket was switched on for our arrival on a colder day. Friendly and helpful owner.

Could have been nice to have a sunny outdoor sitting area and inside kitchen table barely seats two though cabin has beds for 4.

The quirky location in the woods. Jack and staff are very helpful and friendly. The Cottage was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Extremely peaceful at night. First thing in the morning listening to the birds who were around the cottage. I spent two nights here exploring the lakes entrance. Lots of lovely walks. Jack has a goat and hens when I was there they had just had chicks. Short drive into town, with some good restaurants.

I loved the location and the cottages.

There was no water in the shower.

Away from the Main Street in Lakes Entrance in a bush setting
