Kalimna Woods Cottages

Kalimna Woods has a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere with a genuine zen-like feeling throughout the property. Surrounded by beautiful forest and wildlife, it’s incredibly relaxing and I had some of the best sleeps I’ve had in a long time. The cottages are comfortable, well equipped and thoughtfully set up. Hosts Jack and his wife were exceptionally friendly and welcoming while still giving guests complete privacy. The location is also excellent — only a short 300 m walk to Kalimna Jetty & Walk and the stunning Gippsland Lakes.

Nothing significant at all. If anything, the peaceful forest setting means you feel nicely tucked away in nature — which is exactly the charm of Kalimna Woods.

The goats in the wildlife also though feeding the birds and the cleanliness of the property and the staff are totally amazing such a good walk to anything and everywhere it’s cozy is this so crazy having a nice clutter and red wine outside and there’s every anywhere to sit and every corner you take is different as well set out and well designed

Not much really.

Scruffy, tired premises, needs a good deep clean of roof, rafters and a lick of paint. Wifi erratic. TV reception variable.

Quiet peaceful in the middle of the woods quirky, exceptional. Listening to the birds in the morning and evening. The accommodation was spacious and had a nice kitchen.

I really loved the location close to town but completely away from it.

The property is in a beautiful bushland rustic setting it was clean and the bed was comfortable and very close to the Kalina Hotel a lovely Pub with quality meals. Situated Close to Lakes Entrance one of East Gippsland most picturesque Locations, very beautiful views of part of the vast Gippsland Lakes and the entrance to the lakes from Bass Straight. The township of Lakes Entrance offers many top eateries, charter cruises, fishing, mini golf and plenty more to do. And of the wonderful 90-mile beach.

The property is showing its age particularly on the inside of the cabin where some updating and painting would make a huge difference. The TV reception was impossible, while the manager did manage to make it work on Wi-Fi it stopped working shortly after. The property is on steep ground which is not a problem if you are young and have no mobility or walking issues but difficult if you do.
