The George & Dragon

This is a lovely old pub with just 3 rooms for guests. The room was delightful although the bathroom was not ensuite, but across the corridor. I like the tea and coffee which included filter coffee!! One probelm, it was quite warm at night and I was unable to work out how to open the window. There is however, a fan in the room. The restaurant is excellent, although not cheap, there are other places to eat if you dont want top quality food and prices. The continental breakfast, included in the price was really nice. You pay extra for anything cooked We were cycling the Trent and Avon Canal for the weekend, the hotel was well placed for our trip.

An old inn in the true sense, with comfortable rooms, very good food and really welcoming staff - a great stopover when travelling from east to west.

Great, quirky, old building. Great service, friendly staff. Comfortable room with all necessary facilities. Really enjoyed.

A bit tired, food on the expensive side.

The owner, "Chippy", makes you feel at home and is very friendly and hospitable. Accommodation is comfortable but due to its age full of character.and old world atmosphere (wood paneling, low ceilings and doors).

It was OK. When I booked I did email the hotel to ask for a well lit room as my wife was disabled and poorly sited. The staircase to the room was very steep and narrow but considering the age of the property C1600 I accept there's not much one can do about that. I wasn't very impressed that a 10% service charge was added to the restaurant bill without my agreement and despite breakfast being included and I did check to make sure full english breakfast I was charged £11 for 2 Bacon Sandwiches for breakfast.

Very friendly and helpful staff and a delicious breakfast. Great menu but we didn’t have dinner there because we were going to a party!

Fabulous example of how a proper village pub should be. Great hospitality, lovely food - with an extensive fish selection and tremendous individuality. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
