My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to hide away between Christmas and the New Year and this proved a lovely location. Room was excellent, roomy with nicely appointed bathroom, shower was ok, but in older buildings some allowance for plumbing needs to be extended. Nice bar area, good beer and menu. Breakfast was excellent.

Good location for exploring mid-Devon, in a quiet village (hamlet?). Friendly staff, which rubbed off on other customers, giving a welcoming feeling to the inn.

Statyed at the New Inn, on the eve of graduation at Exeter university. Excellent customer service and the room was lovely. Breakfast excellent choice.

The New Inn was just in the most idyllic little village and perfect for what we wanted. The staff were extremely friendly & catered for all of our needs. The food was delicious, the room extremely clean and highly recommended all round.

"Great find "

Lovely place, stayed for one night on business in area. It’s quiet enough and the room was very comfortable. Added bonus: I stayed on the last Tuesday of the month when the local folk singing group have their meet there. Really enjoyed sitting listening to them in the other room - asked me to join in but I politely declined. Made my evening anyway, a great change from the usual solo business eve! :)
