"A lovely place"

A lovely old Inn, with great staff and a friendly atmosphere, the place has bags of character as does Captain the resident talking Parrot who enjoys laughing along with the guests in the bar. If you need a base for a trip to Devon it's a great choice.

"A little gem in the Devon countryside"

Overnight stay before a big family party the following day. Well appointed and clean room and en-suite. The food was first rate and the service could not have been bettered. Quite easy to find as well signposted.

"Wonderful stay at the new inn"

Our family stay was excellent from start to finish. Food was fantàstic, rooms were amazing and the staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and polite. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends without hesitation.

"Devon Delight"

Beautiful little village in Devon, not much going on there, just peace and quiet. The New Inn was a nice break away, lovely thatched 16th century old Inn, lots of history. Very friendly staff, fantastic breakfast.we also had a very good evening meal there. We would go back again.

Very friendly welcoming staff and comfortable large room with lovely view of the small village. Good food, with relaxed eating areas well used by locals. We enjoyed our stay while researching family history.
