"Lovely Devon Inn"

8.0

Lovely old inn in a quiet Devon location, friendly service with good food. Our room although good we did miss a shower, other than that fine. We would stay again.

"Loved it!"

10.0

Really enjoyed our one night stay, dinner and breakfast very enjoyable, staff very friendly, excellent service. Well run, very clean! The only small complaint I have, we where staying in a ground floor room and when the people above us returned to their room late on Saturday night we where awoken by the noisy floorboards from them walking around, so would recommend asking for a 1st floor room. Well recommended and will definitely return!

"A fine hotel in Coleford"

10.0

We liked this rather picturesque hotel. It seemed difficult to get to, but this may have been due to our idiosyncratic SAT-NAV! Perhaps clear directions about the route from M5 can be put on the website? The food was really excellent as well as the service and ambience. The TV was a bit limited in its offerings, but the WiFi was fine. Coffee-Tea facilities were excellent and the parking was great. The staff were very helpful. We stayed only a single night, but liked our stay at New Inn very much.

Perfect - they even charged my electronic cigarette for me! Great, great food, ; breakfast amazing and dinner imaginative, super service; there when needed but not hovering. Advise check train timetable if travelling by train as a tad sporadic but good taxi from Cheriton. I will definitely stay there again!

"One night business trip to Exeter, great choice."

8.0

The welcome wasn't the warmest I've received but the staff were very friendly. Décor is country cottage and the room was fantastic, very large although a little cool. That doesn't worry me as I prefer it cooler but may bother some. It's a small hotel, only 10ish rooms. Food in the bar was excellent, breakfast prompt and the lady who was serving that morning had made a point of knowing my name and who I was without asking me. Brownie points for that one. The locale is a small Devon village and it was almost silent outside in the evening, exactly what I look for. The only point of constructive critique I'll make is that having to be in Exeter for 9am meant breakfast was a little hurried as they don't start service until 8am, there is the option of a cold breakfast delivered to your room, but as I like to take the opportunity of something cooked it left me little time to enjoy. Having said that, if I had asked, perhaps I could have eaten a little earlier. A great hotel in a lovely setting with friendly staff., I will happily stay again when I'm next in the area. Oh and any business traveller who 'needs' hand written receipts, they'll gladly accommodate.
