The front of property doesn’t do the rest of the building justice. A case of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. It’s also at the top of a very steep hill.

Excellent breakfast with v good staff interaction and assistance. Room with its view and Georgian dimensions was far better than initially thought. Good facilities in a well run pub with staff switched on to assist and be helpful. Location vs it price was first rate. Will return.

Its a hard water environment and black slate tiles in the bathroom are a design mistake. Need far too much cleaning to ever look perfect and easier to replace would be my view as would enhance the bathroom. A little bit cluttered in the corridor by our room but that was just a thing I have regarding putting things away so areas appear clear.

Great location, a very lively pub filled with a variety of families and friends. Staff were friendly and efficient.

We had a enjoyable 3 days. The pub was superb with a wonderful atmosphere. The room was excellent with expansive views over the countryside. One stand out feature was the staff all of whom were efficient, helpful and pleasant with a special shout out for Mara.

Friendly and helpful staff, good food (when kitchen was open). The staff at Castle Inn do a great job to make you feel welcome at all times.

Description on booking.com website. My expectations from the website entry did not match what we were greeted with. Place was smaller, car parking very limited and pub was sited on corner of main roads at the top of a very steep hill into main centre. Lack of local businesses/tourist attractions that were open made for a rather dull impression of Bradford on Avon in general.

It had a very cosy feel about it. Staff were wonderful & very obliging. We all (party of 6) enjoyed our meal in the Inn.

We couldn’t seem to control the heating… so we were cold a lot of the time (in the bedroom mainly)
