Absolute jem of a place .... Only did an overnight but the room was spotless and very comfy .. Food was quality through and through .....even received a free starter to try . Above all the staff where excellent and nothing was too much trouble ...superb breakfast was included . Dog friendly also 😁 I'd recommend the George to anyone .....May have to visit in summer to try the beer garden 😊

Outstanding location, quiet, yet close to main travel roads. fantastic food, good beer, great staff and neat clean room - highly recommended. Sunday dinner was excellent, however the black pudding at breakfast is the star of the show! simply the best.

All excellent, comfortable, clean, friendly host and staff. We had evening meal and breakfast which were both superb.

Beautiful building, welcoming

A very comfortable stay just off the A1, ideal stop over point. Set in a nice quiet village location. Evening meal and breakfast were very good and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

The rooms are small BUT so well planned this doesn't mater. The breakfast was superb as was the food in the bar/restaurant. We were made so welcome by the owners the great staff and locals alike. The whole place was very clean and comfortable
