Glen Rose Inn and Suites

The motel had no record of my reservation from Expedia. There are no empty rooms in the entire town at any hotel. Due to the staff they found a room for me ..just luck.

I paid just under $200 for this room in February of this year. I show up in October and the hotel has no record of my prepaid reservation and they proceed to charge me almost $400 and tell me to call hotels.com. The entire time I was nothing but nice and calm and patient. I'm having a conversation with hotels.com on my end because it's not fair I'm paying $600 for a room I already prepaid $200 for months ago. The hotels.com rep told me that the manager will not do any adjustment to the price on his end because of bad reviews already left. Brother.. I did not leave a single review disparaging your property. That changes right now. You are a horrible businessman and a liar. I come to Glen Rose every year for a Spartan race and this is not the first time I've stayed in this property.. but it is the last time I'll stay and I have a lot of friends who travel to this competition and I'm going to make sure they all know that you're screwing over a Spartan. It didn't have to be like this but you chose to lie about me. I was nothing but nice calm and civil to you as Erin, your employee, could verify. Hotels.com did the right thing and refunded me what they already charged me and they have nothing but my respect. So again.. I left no negative reviews on your property and believe me there are a lot of negative aspects about your property but this experience is squarely upon your shoulders. You could have done the right thing and adjusted my rate and I would gladly have sung your praises.

When we're got there after 3pm (check in) they told us to wait thirty minutes so they could clean the room. We came back over an hour later and had to ask them to clean the room so we could use it. We sat in our car for another 45 minutes while they cleaned the room. The pool was disgusting and stinks. It was green and probably had frogs and tadpoles living in it.

The boxsprings were showing and they were very worn out. They were stains on the carpet. The lid on the toilet seat was peeling as was the sink where pieces of paint were coming off. There were holes on the wall that were never plugged. No trashcan available. No remote and I found a bug which we are praying was not a bedbug.

This place has so much potential. Unfortunately, it had some small issues that could have been addressed before we arrived. The hot water faucet was missing in the shower. A quick fix from maintenance was accomplished our first night with a complete fix for the next day. However, the next day came and went without the fix. We did not even get our room cleaned until we checked out.

I arrived and was told they sold my room because I did not prepay BUT I was not required to prepay just put up my credit card just in case I did not show. The person checking in in front of me could not even get a working key card room and the other person could not even get a card because they were out of room key cards. I guess the Lord was protecting me from staying at this place. I did get a room at a B&B that was AMAZING

Nice, clean property with very cordial front desk service.

Pool was great ! Need some shade as I have Lupus and sun makes me sick . Girls had a blast in the clean pool !

Very old no frills hotel but it served it's purpose could not find my reservation but the manager on duty took care of me!
