Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa

We had an amazing stay at the Baan Chaweng Beach Resort. The staff was absolutely amazing and did everything to make our stay even more enjoyable and memorable. Lai brings a smile to o your face every day with her vibrant personality and the general manager even knew our names. Nothing was too much to ask for and we felt very much at home. We have been to Baan Chaweng many times over the past 15 years and the resort never fails to impress. Location cannot be beaten as it’s right in the middle of Chaweng yet no noise is heard as the resort is set back about 100 metres from the road and all restaurants and nightlife. Noise from the Ark Bar is not intrusive and doesn’t interfere with sleep. The grounds continue to be very well maintained and rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast offers a good selection of western and Asian food and there is always plenty available. Located right on the waterfront on the best part of the beach, there are always plenty of sun beds available. The resort stages 2 fire shows per week which are quite spectacular. Overall this is a perfect holiday destination but one issue needs to be reviewed and that is happy hour times and pricing of drinks. Last year the resort had 2 happy hour periods but this year it was changed to one despite almost all resorts close by offering longer happy hours and cheaper drinks (some happy hours were all day). Staff are very friendly and eager to please. The staff have been working there for a long time and they never fail to recognise us when we arrive- special mention to Lia, Time. Kong, Poui, Arun and George. A new General Manager has been appointed, Mr Unalomrat, who is very friendly and keen to listen to any suggestions raised. We will be returning again in 2026 and look forward to meeting up with everyone again.

This was our fourth time at Baan Chaweng Beach Resort so this should tell you something , the staff / people that work at the resort are simply great / very pleasant , always looking to make things/your stay better for you , breakfast is good 7 plenty on offer, toast machine tried my patience in the morning though, restaurant food is good and to be honest a little expensive when eating & drink in house. The thing that I noticed this year on the our room / accommodation side of things was our room, it looked very tired and run down & is definitely in need a major makeover, the bathroom area glass / perspex roof was full of leaves / debris that caused the restriction of natural daylight getting in, we also experienced a lot of noise coming from the area behind our room after the hours of 9pm onwards until the small hours 3 -4 am in the morning…( I believe that it’s a work area for the next door hotel…) the noise in general was things being moved around/ banging / people talking…..I mentioned this to the management / staff of the resort and was told they would try and do something about it….but unfortunately there was very little change & the noise continued for the remainder of our stay that was disappointing, also I would like to mention the TV & the no English speaking channels that were on offer , I think in this day this need addressing , the electrical points in the room were also in poor condition with some of the point s having difficulty to insert / hold a plug appliance, we are looking at returning for a fifth time we would caringly request a different room should we be offered the same room (502)

Our second stay at Baan Chaweng. From our first night to our last day we were always so warmly greeted at breakfast by Mr Au the GM and all the staff. A wonderful treat for my Birthday was much appreciated. Our beachfront room was spectacular and ticked all the boxes. The best beach area was right at our door. Although just one pool it didn't bother us as we spent most of the time at the beach. The street out the front offers massage, restaurants, bars, taxis and night markets (absolute chaos at night) but a great experience. Yes, there are planes flying over and music from nightclubs wafting through the late hours but only adds to the vibe. Special mention to Lai, Bank and young Fern for always looking after us. We are now planning our trip back next year with cousins from Italy. We look forward to coming back. KHOP KHUN KHRAP!

We had a wonderful 10 night stay at Baan Chaweng Resort in a beach front unit. The view, accommodation, breakfast, beach and staff were super friendly and went above to keep us happy. It's a smaller resort so not as crowded as some. There is one pool but we hit the beach every day. If you want to hang out and check out the local vibe just step out on to Chaweng Beach Road at front of the hotel. This was our second stay and we'll definitely be back again. Mr Au, Bank and young Fern were always attentive to our needs.

Best hotel in the world! Everything from the service to the atmosphere was exceptional. The rooms were spotless, the staff went above and beyond, and the location was perfect. Can’t wait to come back again!

We visit all the way from Australia very tired. Book room category but got lower category and bad service. Very disappointing experience. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The service was terrible — staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. I will definitely not stay here again. There are many other beach resorts nearby that treat guests much better.

I stayed at the resort for 6 days and it was a most enjoyable experience. The management and staff are very friendly and the rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The resort manager personally welcomed me and if we met greeted me by name.
