The location is picturesque, staff friendly and clearly happy to be a part of Borrowdale Gates. Sandra is a huge asset on reception. The restaurant looked lovely and the food quality both at dinner and breakfast was faultless. Our room was fabulous with views we will return for.

Our fabulous bathroom was let down by lack of hot water… the system doesn’t cope with peak shower times… we had a gorgeous bath but unable to use after our long mountain walk as no hot water… I was devastated! Great option to service own rooms but surely enough toilet roll could be provided without having to go to reception to request it. A more luxurious pillow would have been lovely
