Borrowdale Gates Hotel

Rooms were lovely, great bathroom and products. Very comfy bed and lovely decorated room!

I absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings - waking up to those Lake District views felt so calming. The room was cosy and beautifully kept, and the little details really made it feel special.

Nice property, good staff, great location.

It says pet friendly, it is not, dogs are not allowed anywhere in the hotel, not even the bar, I accidentally booked this place thinking I was booking into the Borrowdale, not the Borrowdale gates, at the Borrowdale pets are welcome.

The location is great for walkers and the gardens are stunning to relax if the weather is good

The only down side is they only do a set menu.. 2 course £42 or 3 course £58. We were not very hungry but no other eating places close by so it was an expense we didn’t need

The location was fantastic. We did some amazing walks. The dog friendly room was large and led to the garden outside. Restaurant and food lovely. Staff very friendly
