The property is super secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of Cefalù, in an idyllic and tranquil setting. The staff is very polite and welcoming. Structure is nice and clean.

A bit of a trick to get there and back, must have a car!

The setting is amazing. The design is beautiful and it's very peaceful. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The pool is stunning and the whole place has an amazing, rustic Italian feel. The designer should be lauded for the atmosphere they created.

Travelers should be aware that it is VERY isolated and at the top of a very precarious rode. This isn't a bad thing, per se, but it is something to consider. It's 20 minutes up and down and treacherous. Also, the food is just ok. They need a simpler menu and more variation. It's almost like they are trying to be too fancy. And, since you have to drive so far, you're forced to eat there. That was annoying. Lastly -- the A/C is controlled by the front desk -- unless you ask. This was very odd.

Vallegrande is a really beautiful and relaxing place to unwind for a few days. It is gorgeous and very peaceful. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. The swimming pool is a lovely focus to the resort, and the gardens are beautifully landscaped with palm trees and surrounded by a small forrest, nestled within the Madonie Natural Park. We went for a walk one day down to Sant Ambrogio, which is a lovely, very small town on the sea, with maybe 3 restaurants and a small supermarket. The hill is very steep, so if you are walking - it will keep you very fit. If you have a car, it would obviously be a lot easier to travel around the area. Nearby Cefalu is absolutely gorgeous with a busy and very petty beach and lots of interesting shops and restaurants. Would love to visit again. Was a thoroughly restful and enjoyable holiday.

The food in the restaurant, although gourmet, is quite specific, with a small range of choices, so if you don't like it or have dietary requirements, you may find dinner a bit challenging. More adventurous omnivores than me may be delighted with all the dishes on offer, so it will just depend on your personal taste! There were no obvious vegetarian choices, for example, and random mussels included in a dish that were not listed on the menu. So, if you have specific dietary requirements, it may be good to request this in advance and check the ingredients with the staff before you order. Having said this, the restaurant staff did everything they could to make my stay very enjoyable, and I really appreciated the efforts they went to to make us feel welcome and looked after. Our room was lovely, but there was no obvious desk, so if you need to do any work, you may need to work in the poolside bar at a table (no bad thing... ).

Beautiful setting high up on the mountain above Cefalu. Amazing facilities (especially the pool) so the whole family could relax. Very friendly staff who were always more than happy to help. Wonderful atmosphere as it's a small hotel with a boutique yet spacious feel so we never felt crowded. Wish our stay could have been longer!

The only criticism was there was no drinking water provided in the room (apart from two bottles at check-in). Given how hot it was during our stay we felt this should have been provided as a complimentary gesture to guests.

Wonderful tranquility surroundings. Infinity pool with great views. Breakfast was fresh and the staff very helpful. Pool bar open until the evening was a bonus.

Nothing to speak of though the kids menu may be helpful if travelling with younger guests. Mind the steep and narrow approach road but don't let this put you off.
