Suites & Hotel Punta Esmeralda

It was very pleasent

Though the rooms were a bit more rustic than we anticipated (the air conditioning was very loud the cupboard had only four hangers, there was no hair dryer, iron or ironing board, and the kitchenette actually had no dishes, cutlery, etc.), the view from the deck was lovely and peaceful with lush gardens and grounds as well as a very pretty pool and soaker tub. In the evening and at night you could hear the surf crashing on the beach, which was quite close by, however there were also nights where you heard lots of barking dogs and the roosters. The location was a bit far from the restaurants and shopping, but a cab is only moments away and cost only 35 pesos about $3. The staff were VERY warm and welcoming and more than willing to help with anything. The Breakfast provided in the hotel's kitchen was excellent, authentic Mexican food. We loved it! It is also located just down the block from a beautiful Mexican surfer's pub called "One Love" that serves the best guacamole we have ever had along with many other tasty authentic Mexican dishes.

The suites are the best over the regular rooms . The air-conditioning is a little too loud and the shower had really no pressure other than that not bad. The view was good, for the price I say its worth the stay.

Good, Central, Clean and Friendly

Great spacious rooms, extremely friendly and helpful staff, really good value. The hotel was a fair way from restaurants and bars, but with a scooter and cheap cabs that would arrive within 5min of asking reception it was fine.

Great hotel good service and clean just if you book with this hotel make sure you input the right amount of ppl other wise you gonna be charge for each person the is not on the reservation.

The hotel is nice and clean, good location, close to the beach and close to everything. They have most of the services. The pool is nice

It was ok, clean but very modest, its hard to walk to the beach

This hotel had a great price reduction going (we stayed in the off-season) so it was a lot of hotel for what we paid. It is right by the beach but doesn't have many restaurants near by so you have to use a taxi, car, or walk. Walking to the strip of restaurants on the beach takes at least 20 minutes. I liked that there weren't a bunch of drunk back-packers and surfers staying at this hotel. It was quiet and clean. The pool and hammocks were nice and I really liked that they give you a fridge, hotplate, and set of cook/eatware with the suite! I'd stay here again readily but I'd make sure we had a car or money for cabs. After dark there is no way to walk to the hotel that isn't slightly dangerous- you can walk on the completely dark beach for half an hour or walk down the side of the highway with no sidewalk...so plan your travel accordingly. But overall we were very pleased!
