"Quiet city retreat"

10.0

I live in Managua and when I want to escape the noise of the city, I check in for a night of quiet and private rest. Rooms are clean, service is great and I know they are going to have a room for me. Take a night swim, or read a book by the pool having a cold beer. I cannot wait to go back.

"Good for a quick stop in Managua"

6.0

A good hotel for a quick stop in Managua. Room was adequate and no frills. Air conditioning was nice to have. Access to a pool and good food and beers at the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful in arranging a taxi for our early morning flight.

"Hotel in a home area"

4.0

First of all there are no queen size beds in this hotel although they claim or think they are, however after insisting in changing out I could not since I could not get hold of Expedia via Skype, wire etc due to the extremely slow internet. Note they supposedly have high speed internet via cable but no cables available bring your own. Restaurant menu very limited. Locals are entering the pool with their kids at a fee = noice from about 6-7 in the morning

"Small family hotel"

4.0

A basic hotel but friendly staff. There are no real queen size beds in this hotel. A lot of local day visitors from outside comes to enjoy the small pool. The location is in a home neiborhood with no international standard restaurants close. Quite and clean hotel

"Nice little local-style hotel!"

10.0

Nice little hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside courtyard area is very quaint. It was clean, a little older, but ok. For foreigners visiting, this isn't an American style hotel, but a nice local hotel- so expect some differences. The service was wonderful, and it had a decent breakfast. The only real issue I had was that the internet was "spotty" at times and not too strong a signal.

"Hotel Europeo, great place to stay !"

10.0

The manager Maria and her staff are very competent and always ready to help you. Massielle Alexandra the receptionnist was very helpful to us, spoke an excellent English. Marteen, the taxi driver, who was one of her recommendations, is very competent, very helpful and knowledgeable in showing us the city of Managua. Even though he doesn't speak English we were able to communicate easily with him. So if you need a taxi driver, ask for Marteen. The rooms are very confortables and the pool area is very relaxing. the restaurant staff are very nice too. We had dinner there twice and the food and service was excellent.

"Don't trust the staff"

4.0

I am so sorry to have to give this place a negative review because before I arrived I read that this hotel donates proceeds to the community. But when the service is this bad and untrustworthy, I have to say something. First, the minor details: an earlier reviewer mentioned parties at the pool. Yup. That is true. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon which would have been well spent by hotel guests at the pool - we weren't able to because there was a childrens' birthday party there. And the announcer was SO RIDICULOuSLY LOUD you could not avoid hearing him. I was so tired from a super early morning flight that I still managed to sleep but clearly this is a problem - don't advertise your garden and pool area to hotel guests if they can't use it. Way Worse However was the receptionist who scammed me and two taxi drivers by arranging for a taxi for me that I didn't need because I already had one coming! She called for a taxi to come just a little bit before my real taxi and told me he was here! Total scam! I am angry at myself for not questioning him, but more at her for scamming and lying, and the hotel for hiring untrustworthy people like her (she worked days both Saturday January 21st and Sunday January 22nd if hotel management is reading this). Both taxi drivers got screwed too - because she told hers that I would pay him $120 USD to San Juan del Sur and mine was supposed to get $80 and went to the hotel and I wasn't there. Stay classy Hotel Europeo and fire your cheating scammy receptionist. Either way, I won't recommend this place and don't think you should trust them if you do go. As a solo traveler, I have to rely on staff at hotels and when that falls apart, it is really upsetting. How much money could she have made off that scam to make it worth it to lose that trust? Shame on her!

"Nice hotel in the center of the capital"

10.0

I have stayed here few times already. I have all over good experience. The rooms are clean, have A/C, TV, good beds. The pool area is nice to relax, read a book or just have a swim. The restaurant is OK, but I prefer eating out when I am in Managua.

"Excellent"

8.0

The courtyard and pool area were under renovation when I stayed. Looks like the courtyard/pool will be especially nice once renovations are complete.
