Blackberry Hills Munnar - Nature Resort & Spa

Es un complejo turístico natural donde nos hicieron sentir muy a gusto desde el primer momento. Están muy concienciados con el medio ambiente y la preservación de la naturaleza, por lo que es un espacio ecológico y que funciona con energía solar. El entorno es una maravilla y las vistas son espectaculares. En el restaurante todo lo que probamos estaba exquisito y fueron muy atentos. La habitación era muy amplia y estaba limpia y cuidada, con un baño muy cómodo. Nos ayudaron a gestionar todos los desplazamientos y también nos recomendaron actividades que nos encantaron, en especial las caminatas y trekkings que hicimos por la zona.

Únicamente decir que en época de lluvias (monzón) encontramos que hacía bastante humedad y un poco de frío en la habitación, y que un aspecto a mejorar sería la iluminación, pero ello no quita que en global fuera una experiencia fantástica.

The eco friendly part, recycling. Literally perched on the side of the mountain in the middle of the forest. Views were amazing, lots of birds and plants. The people were nice, trying to help but didn’t have all the tools they needed

It was very cold outside and in the room. Unfortunately we didn’t pack jackets or sweaters and I couldn’t even put the bathrobe to stay warm because it was way to small for me and after asking the staff they said they had only one size. For a resort of this standing it’s not ok for me. Second, water was dripping of the bathroom wall which flooded the floor. It was raining all the time, we did not have jackets and umbrellas and there was none in the room, when we asked the reception they said it should be there and we came up ti the reception to get one it took them 40mins to us one. The place is very secluded if you don’t have a car , it’s very complicated to go anywhere, when we asked the reception to arrange a taxi it was twice the price of an Uber. It was raining all day long and it was a national holiday, when we asked the reception what could we do or see they said nothing today everything is closed just stay here and wait in the room or book the spa, and do something tomorrow. But the day after we were leaving Munnar we had only 2 nights there. We booked a spa, the people were nice but the room was once again really cold especially when you lie almost naked on the massage table we had to asked the staff if they could please put some towels on us to warm up a little. No heater in the spa and no procedure in place to check that guest are confortable. The massage was traditional Ayurvedic which I did not know but it was not good nor pleasant in anyway. Frictions that gave pain on the joints but no massage of the actual muscles. The guy put me in a position with my arms up which afterwards gave me huge pain when I had to turn because my shoulder was blocked and could not move. Massage the right part of my body and the the left with one hand only and going around my bones in circles until at some point it start hurting. Still no massage of any muscles.

The location is beautiful, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the restaurant serves great food

We started in a room with quite a dirty bathroom, dead flies on the wall, some hairs in the shower, no hot water and quite a bit of damp smell. The room was very damp due to the monsoon season which is understandable, especially in the clouds. We changed rooms for the second night and had hot water and were given a dehumidifier which solved the damp problem at least in the bedroom, however it still smelled a bit of mildew. The best feedback I could give would be to include a dehumidifier in each room during the monsoon and would recommend guests stay here in the drier periods as its not perfectly built for this season.

Loved the location and the restaurant onsite is superb with their food

En realidad no tiene nada que ver con el hotel. Desde que llegamos no dejo de llover y lo hacia muy frio.

Great cozy and beautiful stay. Massive resort and close to lots of key spots in Munnar. Epic pool overlooking the valley below

The views, the restaurant, the warm service. They catered to our vegan diet which is always appreciated.

The bathroom needs a little bit of updating but still good
