Villa Murano

The staff were really friendly and was making sure that our trip went well.

There were little ants in our room.

Location was good, close to shops and walkable to Fira centre. Sunrise views were stunning as we got the room at the top, beautiful way to wake up in the morning.

Shower was a bit small. Which is the norm in most hotels.

I like the building with the vault roof and the white paint. It had a mice pool and the receptionist was very nice. Location wise, was a 15 minutes walk around the city which i was okay.

Ok the room was small and it was like a loft. It was nice because it had the vaulted ceiling but the room was too short. There is no close or area to keep your luggage. And the AC was stucked at 26 C degree, the manager instead that the control was working but wasn’t. I was lucky that the weather was okay and it was bearable.

The staff was so caring and accommodating. We were very comfortable and liked that it was a bit quiet it was so nice and relaxing. It was only a 5 ish minute walk to main town Fira which was a great way to explore the area.

The shower gets water everywhere and we felt bad the floor got so wet! Otherwise it was so nice to have a fixed shower head again 😀

Very clean room with good air con, beds were comfortable, lovely lady on reception who was so helpful, pool is small but great to cool off, not far to walk into town.

It’s very close to a road, not a very busy one, but if you don’t have the air con going you might hear a bit of noise.

Despite confirming check in time when I booked, I had to wait 1 hour for someone, then was told my room was not available. Taken to another venue, very noisy. Had to checkout the next morning to go back to the original rooms, but as I had meetings, it was not convenient having to pack up again and change hotels. I was promised my bags would be waiting in my room when I get back from work at 5pm. I arrived at the rooms, again with 30 min warning, but no bags. I had to wait over 2 hours for my bags, with not able to shower, eat, swim, as I was waiting for them and had nothing with me. Grumpy unhelpful women, who told me to leave her alone. ( n a txt) as they instructed me to only communicate via whatsapp. No water in the room on arrival (Greece is hot in summer!) despite advertising drinks on the Fridge. Room so small, I did not even have space for my suitcase, except for under the bed. (I booked a double room). I checked out 3 days earlier as the nearest shops/restaurant were a hot uphill or down hill 15 minute walk. The walls and windows of room is also directly on the busiest road, with all the quad bikes, there was no peace all day or all night. I did not expect a luxury hotel, but this was probably my worst experience in Greece! She refused to give me any discount for their mess up with the rooms and making me wait, which I feel is unfair. In fact, she asked me what my fuss was all about?! Instead of any apology for my room that I booked not being available and booking me into a totally different place?!, plus all the other issues. ( oh and shower had no pressure at all, just a plastic pipe) Definitely not good value for money at all! Had they offered me anything as compensation, ( a free breakfast, or anything really, I would have felt a lot better about the whole thing. But I was told in no uncertain times - they owe me NOTHING??

Clean and good air conditioning.

The people in charge of the hotel nada us feel terribly uncomfortable, they were absolutely unkind and they charged us for four double rooms for 8 people and made us stay in two.

It was clean.

The way we were treated, the location and the service. Katherine the person in charge of the hotel and the driver in charge of the transfer were awfully rude and disrespectful.

I booked last minute having never visited Fira so was not sure what to expect. When I arrived, they offered me to move to their other hotel Villa Grande Murano, which was closer to down with a bigger pool. The staff were super-friendly and welcoming. My room was very clean with a beautiful view. The pool was great to chill next to and it was just a short 5/10min walk to Fira main towm. There is a convenience store directly opposite so everything you need is there. Great stay!
