Islanda Resort Hotel

Modern and clean, nice shower

It’s a beautiful hotel with the best view on the island. It is peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant and pool view is so beautiful. The breakfast is very good. They also make traditional Thai food for lunch and evening meals. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

It is not the fault of the hotel but now the soi dogs on Koh Mak have come into the hotel and resort areas where they never used to be. The dogs are aggressive and chase in Packs in the dark hours. I was chased more than once. They prowl the roads behind the resorts. Even there was a pack behind seavana and Koh Mak resorts. We had to take a security guard with us sometimes. It would be great if this problem was worked out, the dogs cared for and helped and the tourists able to walk safely after dark.

Wi-Fi not working and went to the wrong pier to pick me up after they have the correct information.

Quiet and small resort with friendly staff. Good scooters to rent. Clean and good air conditioning.

Breakfast was quite basic, but ok.

Et meget pænt og rent hotel samt venligt personale. Vi havde dog tænkt at det lå direkte ved stranden, men der var ca 10-15 min. gang dertil. Lejede en scooter på hotellet for 250 bath for at komme rundt at se øen.

The staff was really friendly and very accommodating especially to our mom who’s very old. The food was great 👍🏽 we tried other places on the island and they were not up to the same level as their restaurant.

Contacting them via Booking.com was hopeless. They didn’t respond at all to any messages even after I reached out to Booking.com for support.

We had an amazing stay! Our highlights: the service, the view, the friendliness of all staff. We find it rare to remember a vacation for the hospitality of the hotel, yet Islanda came super close. Will definitely come back!

Nice clean and comfortable room. The swimming pool and view from the pool area were lovely. We had a poolside room and a nice outlook whereas the garden view rooms were a bit of a disappointment to other guests. Make sure you choose carefully.

The breakfast was limited and service was rather chaotic. You needed to ask for a menu for the cooked food and when the eggs were served, they were always cold. The hot food which were located in serving trays were also cold since these trays were not heated. Very little atmosphere at the restaurant in the evening. It could benefit from some soft music and opportunities to encourage guests to use it e.g. happy hour.
