Perhentian Island Resort

Paradijs op aarde. Een prachtlocatie afgesloten van de bewoonde wereld. Eigen privé strand. Kleinschalig gevoel met elk een eigen huisje en terras. Prachtig snorkelen met o.a. schildpadden, roggen, tropische vissen. Eten in restaurant wel aan de prijzige kant. Personeel is uiterst vriendelijk. Voor ons hebben ze heel veel geregeld mbt vlucht omboeken en reis naar KL door Corona. Top

Resort immerso nel verde e direttamente sulla più bella spiaggia dell’isola...personale sempre disponibile e sorridente. Lo consiglio vivamente!

Our view was fabulous! The restaurant was not great, we ordered prawns and they dipped snd fried small shrimp with the shell still on and served those. Awful! Most of the time we walked to somewhere else to eat. Our room was full of red ants we complained they did nothing. The beach was stunning!

This is a magical island with beautiful clean and clear waters. The resort staff are friendly and warm and facilities are clean. It is also not that far from kota bahru airport. Very accessible island paradise.

Nuestra experiencia en el Pir después de leer los comentarios fue mejor de lo esperado. Tras leer las opiniones de otros huespedes ibamos preparados para pasar hambre y dormir entre ardillas pero nada mas lejos de la realidad. Lo mejor: la playa, sin duda la mejor de ambas islas. Hacer snorkel y ver tortugas, tiburones pequeños y miles de peces a unos metros no tiene precio. Tambien destacar a los trabajadores: amabilidad, sonrisas e infinita paciencia (la liamos con la caja de seguridad) Lo peor: la calidad precio es muy muy justita. El sitio es una pasada pero ni las cabañas(a pesar de dormir en una renovada) ni las instalaciones se ajustan al precio A mejorar: El restaurante. La comida no es una delicia, vale, es cara, si, pero no es tan mala como he leido por aqui. El desayuno bastante bien. En resumen: al ver la playa se olvida todo

Great friendly desk staff & Location

Well maintained resort n there are still some ongoing maintenance work.

The environment is so beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful. Wifi was not strong in our room, we had to go near to the reception for use internet. And safe box was not working but cleaning staff is trustworthy. If you need to do scuba diving book a slot a day before. I went in the last hour and they were occupied.(for licensed divers have no problem I guess)

The beach deserves 5+ stars - it is absolutely gorgeous. And people will keep going just for that. Staff is friendly and helpful. But the facilities, food, and service do not even vaguely match the level of quality the location (and price) deserve. The facilities were all quite dated and basic, which would be fine if at least some minor things were upgraded. A little attention to detail would go a long way to make this place heaven on earth! Rooms were basic but okay, with the main problem the front door that had a large gap underneath that animals could easily enter (full of mosquitoes). By the way, bring an adaptor or they’ll sell it to you for 5 times the price you’d pay on the mainland. 19 umbrellas and sets of beach chairs are not enough for a resort of over 100 rooms and nothing else to do but enjoy the sea; by 9 am there was none left (rude selfish people put their towels down at 9am to keep the chairs and came back mid-afternoon - they should not ve allowed and should be ashamed!). And by 11am not even beach towels were left! Garbage bags were left outside rooms overnight so animals stormed around digging in. Food was just not edible, despite the long menu. People migrated daily to resorts nearby for meals. That said, if you don’t mind overpaying for the lack of service, and still prioritize the quality of the beach, this resort remains a good option. Food aside, I doubt they’re much more refined in service elsewhere on the island.
