Parkwood Lodge

It’s over 2 miles away from downtown. Not much to do around including restaurants. No breakfast which seems common around the area. It’s clean and quite around though.

This pleasant motel had rooms in several buildings in a wooded setting far enough off the road to get rid of highway noise. Our room was on the second floor without an elevator. This was not an issue for me, and only a mild one for my wife, who has some knee arthritis: However, anyone with mobility problems should specifically ask for a 1st floor room. There were nice picnic tables in front of our building with grills for cooking out. The rooms were clean and well kept up.

We had an issue with our dates, and the staff was very easy to work with and adjusted as needed. Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were older but quite comfortable. Beds are a bit bouncy. But overall, they were very comfortable. The coffee, whether in the room or at the lobby, was weak in my opinion, so if you like the morning cup of joe, pack your own. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and stay.

Reasonable price. All we needed was a place to rest our heads. Nice that there was a pool. Room was clean.

Would have been nice to have breakfast. My husband didn't care for the mirror and sink to be outside the bathroom, but I was fine with it.

It was in a good location in Door County.

The air conditioner is inadequate and it was so humid that our clothes and towels always felt wet. Even when the room was cool, it was humid and sticky. We never felt comfortable. We reported this at checkout and they said we should have asked for a dehumidifier???? They said they had done renovations and couldn’t get a humidifier for every room. There was no effort made to compensate us for our issue. They said door county sits on shale rock so it is impossible to deal with the mildew and humidity. We have stayed at many places and have not had this issue in door county. Also, the floor was always gritty and the towels were both humid and old! The pillow smelled. We feel that the problem was glossed over and they didn’t show much care for our problem. All our clothes smelled like mildew when we got home. Won’t stay here again.

A weekend getaway for my wife and I. The service was great. The bed and room were comfortable but the room was not very clean at all.
