"Very nice"

10.0

The road to the hotel is quite scary, kind of off-road, but that's a general thing in Tanzania. The place itself is great - very nice bungalows, clean and well fitted, food at the restaurant incredible (mind you, not the breakfast ;) ). Highly recommend this logging, as it was one of the best we found in our Tanzanian trip.

we enjoyed our stay and found the staff most helpful. We felt the meal and drinks were a little expensive compared to other places nearby.

"A gem of a place!"

10.0

I spent four nights at L'Oasis, and I really enjoyed my stay. The gardens are beautifully kept: lush and flowering, full of birds and geckos and even a little toad. My room was in a stone round hut with a grass covered roof - so rustic and charming! The staff is really, really friendly. I was travelling alone, and everyone made me feel welcome. I was very impressed with the level of customer service at L'Oasis. The tour operator for the lodge went out of his way to try to accommodate my request for a budget safari to Tarangire, and the manager did everything he could to help me when my camera broke! L'Oasis was my first stop on a 2-month holiday in Tanzania, and a lovely first impression of the country, it's people, and their hospitality.

"Nice, quiet lodge at the edge of Arusha."

8.0

We liked the lodge very much. It is a quiet, easy going place, for us a perfect place to have a week rest. Staff is very friendly. The 'banda' was comfortable and clean. The only thing was the shower, we had most of the days a lot of water at the badroomfloor, so very slippery. A bit dangerous for us, to senior ladies. Although we told the reception, it was not repaired fir som reason. The food is nice. Every day we had diner in th lounge, no idea why. There was a nice restaurant, we only used it for breakfast. The staff is very friendly, they do everything to feel you at home. It is a good place to be! Asante sana.

"Excellent"

Very nice hotel. Exept location everything was good. Location is not good if you don't want to use taxi, but with taxi to the centre is only 5$. So it's good hotel with friendly personal for less money.

"An inexpensive garden oasis"

8.0

We were "stuck" a few nights in Arusha waiting for one of our party to arrive. We moved from an in town place to L'Oasis for the peaceful garden-like grounds. We were very pleased with our choice. Our hut was large and comfortable, pool was nice, very relaxing stay. Yes, the road to the lodge is sketchy, if you are new to Africa, but it was worth it to get out of Arusha town. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy, eggs cooked to order, lots of fruit, bread, yogurt. We ordered from ala carte menu for lunch/dinner, sometimes sharing a dish between two. All that we tried was very good. Book swap, nice lounge area, free wifi. There's also a hostel-ish section with huts that are a bit more sparse, but still looked nice.
