Nice property, beautiful view, hreat food, wildlife visitors.

Its a small hotel on a rocky cliff face - no access to beach. Many stairs and no lift. I think we had the best room we have ever had - absolutely loved it. Room 101! Staff were lovely. Monkeys popped over - lock your balcony door after putting some banana out there. The only thing that didn't impress me was some fried reformed cheap boiled ham on a breakfast plate once - do bacon as pictured or don't bother! Breakfast was otherwise great and dinner v good though. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

We had a lovely stay at Issimo! The views are gorgeous, both from the restaurant and our room. We loved having morning breakfast with a view. Everyone was very helpful and kind, so we always felt taken care of. It was so fun to have a jacuzzi tub on our balcony, and we just spent so much time relaxing out there. It’s also convenient to a local beach that’s cute and not too crowded, and we saw a sloth there every day. Just make sure you wear hiking sandals to get down there because the road is steep and then you take a steep and sometimes muddy path from the road to the beach. The hotel is also a short drive to town where there are other restaurants to try, and the park is just like an 8 min drive away. Our only request would be for better coffee at the breakfast — we were looking forward to extra tasty Costa Rican coffee.

Beautiful location, great deck with pool, lovely views. We told them we had just got engaged and they went all out to make it a very special experience.

Dining and drinking were a little expensive for what they were

This is a small hotel which means that you get personal service and also get to know the staff. There are nice views from the rooms and restaurant and the rooms are a good size. Worth getting one with a balcony. Plenty of wildlife to see from the hotel. The food in the restaurant is good, prices on a par with elsewhere in Costa Rica. I’d describe it as quaintly old fashioned which suited us. It’s a 15-20 minute walk uphill to the local town and restaurants, although taxis are easy to order. There is a nearby beach 10 minutes walk but the path can be muddy if it has rained. Overall a good base to explore the area.

Overall the hotel is still a good luxury hotel for us to stay. The view is great in the morning, and the decoration is special. The staffs were friendly, and guided us to park the vehicles and helped us carry the luggage. The breakfast was quick and good.

Even though the room is spacious, the objects are not positioned in an efficient way: a lot of tables are full of objects that we couldn't put our own stuff; there isn't a place to sit and use computer. Also, throughout our trip in Costa Rica, this is the only hotel where we were bitten by mosquitoes quite a lot. The pest prevention can be done better.

Fabulous hotel. Amazing views, wonderful staff, nice rooms and great food. Close enough to be able to walk to the beaches and shops but also nicely remote. Will definitely come back again.

The view was spectacular, room was huge, breakfast was also nice, but nothing special. Everything remains overpriced in Costa Rica, but nothing that the hotel can do abt.

The weather was terrible, but again, nothing the hotel could do abt, we made the best out of it.

We had excellent service at the restaurant.
