Location and the staff Interior - stained glass window 🥰 Delightful large bedroom with iron and ironing board in room. No real views, from the room we were in, but it was aesthetically pleasing! Small TV for the room size, but could be intentional- so not to be the main focus ? Breakfast room nice setting - liked the options of breakfast sitting at my choice of time! Comfortable large bed and plush pillows, the firmness was just right for us to rest our tired bodies. I can understand why some people found the beds too hard, but I slept peacefully- I could have stayed in bed all day ☺️ Breakfast was very nice we went for the continental breakfast and the cooked. Thou one of us just ended up enjoying the toast and marmalade- so much so a second round of toast was called for !

Some mould around the bath tub which I scored down for. Bathroom did lack the wow factor… few small details and maybe worth the price for the room. Appreciate that our room had high ceilings and a beam but dust was very visible.

The location

The room was unclean and the state of the hotel was generally in poor condition. The tiles in the entrance hall are coming off the floor The staff are not trained or able to communicate and deliver on service or hospitality

The location was perfect, just a very short stroll into town. The Hotel offered an excellent choice for breakfast, my room was warm and spacious.

There wasn’t anything to dislike

Pillows a little too hard for my liking, but that was only negative

Comfortable bed, very clean, spacious - I was upgraded to a double although I was a single traveller

Bed coverings quite lightweight and no extra blankets available in the room. Outside temp very low (-2) so think they should have catered for this eventuality. Suggest future travellers ask for these if you think you will need them!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent location Lovely breakfast

Its not so much we didn't like it but more a case of the car park being very tight, but we knew that before arrival and as long as you're confident in manoeuvring your vehicle then no problem

The volume on the tv wasn't working, but that didn't affect me much.
