Such a lovely historic hotel, lovely location, no parking but carpark 5 min walk away. The staff were great, welcoming and helpful at all times, breakfast was lovely. Our room was clean airy, quite large with a lovely fireplace and exposed beams. We would definitely stay again, such lovely hotel, facilties and staff.

Excellent breakfast! Our room was clean, comfortable, with full washroom facilities. The staff were friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor patio, and the very friendly atmosphere! The location was perfect for us to walk to Salisbury Cathedral, to the local market, and experience our first British town, the perfect size to explore on foot. We loved Salisbury and the Red Lion!!

Beautiful old building in a great location.

Our room backed onto the town car park which was full of antisocial behaviour all night for both of the nights of our stay, which woke us up a few times, but we can't blame the hotel for this. Above our room (no. 52) was a corridor with a squeaky floor which was very annoying from about 6am onwards when housekeeping started.

I liked the layout of the bar and the seating areas. The staff were very nice and helpful.

My bedroom smelt. It was a fusty smell that some hotels have. I think the carpets need cleaning. The decoration of the bedrooms wasn't that great either.

The hotel location was great, a five minute walk to the cathedral. The hotel itself is exceptionally old and very quaint, it was super clean and the staff were extemely friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable here. Would definitely recommend.

The fact that they did not serve evening meals, it would have been nice to eat there.

Room was a good size and comfortable. Shower was a bit of a squeeze but adequate. Nice touch to have bottles of water in the room

I tripped up a step near a fire door, which I had not noticed. I did not see any warnings.
