Sundale Motel

We didn't get upstairs room as booked ,room didn't have aircon or fridge plugged in ready for our arrival, The bathroom was dirty had piles of cobwebs dirt etc behind toilet like it has never been vacuumed or mopped and had half used water stained toilet paper rolls,there was cigarette buts on top of mirror in a non smoking room?. Also no smoke alarm in room which is very illegal and dangerous.

No complaints about the room for the price it was good value. Motel was conveniently located to tram and other facilities and plenty of car parking within the motel. Office hours of motel differed to that shown on web site, eg tried to ring at 4:30pm and call was diverted to answering machine. Late arrival was attended to very satisfactorily. The only negative comment is that the air conditioner has a very short cord and is >600mm too short to reach powerpoint.

No one in reception on arrival A/c so noisy it was not usable No incest screens, so window had to remain shut Long term guest fighting and swearing right out side door It felt like a half way house Tram station across the road .... Noisy

The staff are rude and use disgusting language almost as bad as Clementine Ford. Room was dirty and noisy. I left after one day and moved to a much better motel that was much better value. If you stay here I'm sure you will love your next hotel.

Last minute stay... Key left in room, old ineffective noisy air con. Right beside Trams and difficult to drive into off road, couple of u turns after finding way to get there due to intersection and trams.

I had a phone call on the day of my check in just to see if we were ok and still checking in. I thought that was nice. The door was already opened and windows were to.. just have some fresh air in there. HOWEVER! The a/c did not work and was rattly, the wood around the shower sill was all rotten and flaking. The shower soap was about a quarter full. I think single use little bottles would be more comforting. The worst part was there was blood on the toilet roll holder, from what ever reason. This was unacceptable.. and immediately made a downer of our stay. The towles were still damp also.. hopefully from being washed.. and not the previous guests. I understand this is a budget motel, but this does not excuse the lack of cleaning or attention to detail. I will not stay here again.

I had some house work done and had to stay 1 night in a motel. Very friendly staff nice room and close to Aus fair n local restaurants And public transport the room was very clean comfortable bed. Can't complain 5/5 🤘🏻. Not expensive at all I'd recommend this place to all my friends

The room downstairs was awful! The fridge didn't work & the bathroom had a leaky toilet,it was so uncomfortable being there but I was desperate so I lasted the week out as there's no refunds available..The reason I switched from the upstairs room was as I've mobility issues so when the downstairs room became available(a warning about that upstairs room,too,the Tv doesn't picked up the ABC channel!).I've stayed there years ago & it was cheaper & better,so I'm unsure as to why now even though they've made more rooms available/expanding it it's gone downhill now..

Since the tram lines were installed street access is only from one direction.

The motel was quite, the bed was good and the place was quiet. We were pleased with the place and the staf and our 10 day stay was excellent with parking at the door.
