Sundale Motel

No A/C unless you pay an extra $10.00 for a small extension cord - strange but true - see photo's,the lead from the A/C is about 30cm short. # Very poor,dangerous and confusing entry/exit. # Could be too noisy for some people with a busy intersection out the front and the tram line. # Internet advertised online and on the large lit sign out front,costs $5 per day given to me for free because it DOES NOT WORK ( staff are fully aware of this) # Washing machines are very very dirty,not cleaned for a long time. # The tragic little hemp mat at my front door had not been cleaned for a very long time also,did it myself,very bad 1st impression. # Found a very sharp and dangerous shard of glass at the foot of my bed on the carpet after 2 days,very glad that I did not step on it. # Very poor room security with only 1 poor sad lock on the door,with no security screens being on the ground floor or even any fly screens on the door or any windows. # Staff are very defensive about any feedback/queries although they say that they welcome feedback - NOT TRUE. After my one complaint the day before about my next week booking not being written down,and my query about the A/C lead being so short the staff told me that I should leave so I did!!! Although they clearly knew that I was staying with them because my wife had to have urgent open heart surgery in the Gold Coast University Hospital the very next day,cruel,callous and cold. The truth about the sundale hotel is that it is a very old building waiting to be demolished by the owners to build/sell to developers,so very little if any money will be spent because of this - source staff member. Because of this I found the staff members very detached and very apathetic lacking support from the owners with very predictable results. I noticed that there is plenty of very easy things that could be done,but the staff lack motivation sad to say. NOTE - Stayed 1 week on very short notice because wife had to have urgent open heart surgery.

Comphy quiet close to everything i really enjoyed my stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not only did i get a tour of the room i was pointed out too different restaurants and times they closed. Great service a+
