The Llawnroc

A hotel with a nicely finished modern decor. Evening meals from the restaurant were excellent and a really good choice at breakfast, including a superb full english. Bedrooms a good size and nicely decorated . Really helpful and friendly staff and nothing was too much. . Would definitely recommend a stay at the Lawnroc

The llawnroc hotel was excellent staff were very helpful the room was a good size large bathroom and shower their was a good choice breakfast menu would recommend to anyone wanting a hotel to stay at

Perfectly situated for a long weekend away from the city

On arrival lovely invite into the premises. The room was very spacious overlooking the car park. Not at the hotel very much as out on adventures of the area. Short staffed due to the environment at present saw the same staff most of our stay either covering reception/breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic and the two ladies who served us on 12/13/14th October made our stay even more comfortable with there bubbly presence. Easy departure. Thank you.

Lovely sea view, comfy bed but not sure about pillows, modern bathroom with very nice toiletries. Very good food at both breakfast and dinner. Only fault was reception not always manned and had to wait around for someone to get room key that they ask you to leave if leaving premises.

Arrived early our room was not ready not a problem - went back twice after booking in time waited an hour before it was ready only apologies given, no water, tea or complimentary drink offered, we had been travelling since 4am to get there - bathroom looked clean but sand at the bottom of bath on the floor and around the tiles and dust on the towel rail not to mention dust behind the tv only found as we had poor tv reception, and cobwebs on the ceiling above the bed which my husband removed, I did not advise the staff after the shambles of book in as I had to stay there for 4 days. All put down to staff shortages which I do understand but not when you are paying that kind of money

Beautiful location, loved sitting out on the decking with a large gin and tonic, staff very friendly and helpful, very clean rooms.

We just stayed for one night after a week stay further down in Cornwall. We were very pleased with our family room. It was very modern with lovely furniture, a huge comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. It was hard to get cold water to come out of the bath tap..... The food was good too. There was a local band playing which set a very pleasant atmosphere, with locals dancing and having fun. A real friendly lovely local lady struck up a conversation with me which made the evening even more pleasant. A slight downside was that everywhere could have been cleaner, but it was an Impossible task for the lovely friendly staff as they were so short staffed. It is now hard to get staff all over Cornwall, apparently! We had noticed jobs advertised everywhere we went, We will go back.

Llawnroc is a lovely hotel in a beautiful village in Cornwall. We have stayed there c 10 times in the last 8 years and intend to keep going back. The staff are very friendly and the chef (Simon) produces really good and varied food. There is a view of the sea from several of the bedrooms and from the terrace at the back of the hotel. If you want bars and nightclubs then it's not the right place but if you want good food, good walking and great views in a comfortable relaxed hotel then....... it is!
