Somersal Bed & Breakfast

We were very satisfied with everything: the clean and comfortable room, the beautiful garden and pool that were very well maintained, and the delicious breakfast. It was quiet at night, and the starry sky was very beautiful. It was about a 10-minute drive to the town, and about 30 minutes to the glowwarm caves. Thank you to the kind owners, John and Jenny.

Jenny and John were delightful hosts! Nice gardens to explore.

The only thing that could be added is a dish towel by the small sink in our room for drying dishes and our hands. That area was well stocked otherwise with coffee, tea, and goodies.

John and his wife were very friendly and the breakfast served was excellent and more than enough. That brought us through the day. Nice house and garden. Large room and good bathroom facilities.

Bed too soft for us. And from the fotos we couldn’t see, that the room was facing the driveway and parking area. Unfortunately that was also the direction to the main street (39) with a lot of traffic nearly all night long. I would have chosen the smaller room, if I would have known before.

Lovely accommodation run by very friendly hosts

Great location and setting. Hosts were very welcoming and lovely to chat to over breakfast.

Could have had a small fridge in the room but there was one available for use in the property.

A lovely house set in fabulous gardens with views of Pirongia forest. Our room was large and very comfortable with large glass patio doors looking out onto the garden. Our hosts John and Jenny were very friendly and helpful recommending lots of things to do in the area. A perfect place to stay. Thank you John and Jenny.
