Grand Palladium Colonial Resort & Spa All Inclusive

Honestly this was our favorite holiday.the staff here are amazing,so friendly and from the receptionists to the cleaners just a joy.nothing was to much bother.i seemed to be singled out for special treatment-my wife and i had a meal hers steak and mine a proper Mexican Chili cooked just as they would eat it and it was divine.we cannot wait to return.the "secret" adults pool is lovely as is the main pool.you have full use of the sister hotels facilities either side of ours.our room on the ground floor was lovely with a walk in shower with great water pressure and a really comfy bed the only let down was the Aircon thats stuck at 18 degrees-needs to be a tad cooler!..there is one negative the onsite shop-the jewellers part is great however the clothing side AVOID-my wife bought a rather expensive top at over $50 us dollars.she couldn't try it on in the shop as she was still damp from the pool and she was given the wrong size that was bagged.when she tried to return it they refused to exchange or refund her.just be warned they just want your money!!..we won't ever go in that shop again but apart from them it is beautiful and so are the staff.

Wonderful place, great staff, great service, had breakfast and lunch every day at same place because of the best waiter (Ivan Laura and the hostess Alexa). 11 day stay and they made our mornings and lunch perfect.

After some significant issues with the room (no beds available), the resort was generally very good. It is sprawled out so if you like to walk along the paths and roadways connecting the expansive property, then this place is for you. They do have a courtesy tram but wait times can be lengthy (30 mins). The food and drinks were pretty good with great selection. And the pool and beach areas are outstanding. What stood out as a highlight was the service received from the buffet and a la carte teams. In particular, our group had breakfast and lunch at the outdoor buffet in the Colonial section. Silvia, Niza, and Juan Pablo were outstanding!! A little tip goes a long way and these folks really made the vacation! They went above and beyond for several birthdays that occurred that week and I can’t say enough about how professional and service-oriented they were while also being friendly. And the team at the scuba / snorkel center were equally fabulous! A great team and two fabulous dives! Great staff at the resort, everywhere! That made up for the room issues for sure.

The resort was a little too spread out and had to do lots of walking to get to the lobby and other connected lobbies easy to get lost, especially at night time. If you don’t, if you like eating the same food every day this is your spot.

A lot of fun at the Grand Pladium white sand. The kid’s loves the water park. Diego Rafay Ricardo is the best waiter ever !! Gracias Señor!!

We visited Grand Palladium Rivera Maya for a week. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it. The weather was a little cooler than we like so I was unable to enjoy getting in the pool. But sitting poolside worked as I had time to read and relax while my husband braved the cold pool. A few highlights. Every night we went to Churchill for cocktails where Christian always kept us entertained. His knowledge of different cocktails helped us learn to try new things. We even attended the bartending class and margarita making class. Both he and Ricardo were very knowledgeable about the drinks we made. We also attended a ceviche making class on the beach and learned how layering fresh flavors make a difference in the taste. Nicolasa and Juan did an excellent job teaching the class. Each evening there were nightly shows from Latin to Rock and we enjoyed them all. Carlo and the dancers outperformed themselves. Make sure you sign up for classes before showing up. Some require you to preregister. The only issues we had were one night my husband had raw chicken at the Brazilian restaurant. The rest of the food was great especially for me the lamb and pork. Overall we enjoyed our time and can't wait to go back.

The overall experience was good. Had a few days where I did not feel too good but Paola (waitress) by the pool treated everyone in our party very good! She was awesome and friendly at all times!

Paola made our trip unforgettable! She provided great service and made our time at the pool and bar so much fun! The bartenders, servers and workers were amazing.

Great food, lovely people, especially Edgar from LA Paisana. Lots of wedding parties happening, people seemed to be enjoying it.

Beautiful setting and surroundings with bounds of things to see and do! All staff are very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back here again!
