"3/10"

4.0

The place is not very nice. It is too hot and stuffy inside the room with the window closed and too cold with opened in the end of November. Reception looks pretty, but the rooms are terrible. With cheap furniture and dirty carpet. Beds are small, pillows are tiny and uncomfortable. 3/10

"Not the best choice"

6.0

I spent two weeks in the hotel (in 3-stars part), because of business trip to Nizhny Novgorod. And I was slightly disappointed in this experience. The first point is location, it's rather far from the center, and there aren't any activities outside the hotel, except ice hockey arena. But you aren't fan of locale team, right? And you don't want to listen shouting and chanting all night long after each good game (trust me, they will). So, the only way to spend your leisure is being in the hotel (there are enough entertainments like billiard, sauna, bowling etc. And that's the plus of Oka hotel.) The second point is the hotel itself. It was renovated since soviet times, but mainly in public areas of the hotel, in hall, elevators (too small, 4 person only, without luggage) and others. My room was OK (nothing special), clean, but there were some disadvantages, like very loud mini fridge and missed key from locked box in corridor. And finally Wi-Fi. It's too slow and it wasn't available from time to time.

"A bit harsh"

2.0

Overpriced for sure... But Hotel is fine, normal business place. But the Maria(chief) banned me from hotel for refusing to pay 10€ extra for extra hour stay.. They never told me before and didn't tell me this when they called for checkout time. This is why I told'em that if you want ANY extra payments, it's good to say it to the customer in advance. Same thing with parking by the way: they let you in and on the next day you find out it's not free

"Average of many averages"

6.0

Stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks. Hotel is divided into 2 parts: 3star and 4 start facility. Location is not good, very far from everything you normally would want to see in NN. Might be suitable for business travellers but would not recommend for tourists. The lobby leaves very good impression , but it fades as you get to the rooms which are much simpler and a bit soviet-like. Breakfast and rooms are average, the bathroom in my room was clean and modern. On the first floor there is a very good gym, well-equipped and with lots of evening classes, which you can attend free if you stay in business part of the hotel. On a separate note, surprisingly good SPA salon, so if you feel like going, defiitely recommended. Prices there are high.

"good standard, but not that great..."

6.0

The hotel is a modern standard, the hall is nicer than the rooms, but fine. The position is definitely not good, unless you've a car or want to use taxis all the time. The breakfast is pretty bad, poor, not interesting at all, lack of fruit and healthy food. Restaurant is awful.. you cannot charge the check on your room (!!!), no one talk any english, food is not that good...

"Stay away from overpriced hole"

2.0

Shame self-proclamation of business standards hotel. Staff at the reception desk never welcome you, but check your credentials and passport and interview your previous stays, routes, registrations. Be prepare be under the scrutiny of police acting staff. Awful smell. Shocking small bathroom. Shower cabin is terrible small and flimsy. No AC. No desk lamp. No power outlets. 5 g piece of soap and 2 x 2 g shower gels for 125 USD!!!! Be careful with elevators doors –openings are less than 180 cm. Gym access – 23 USD!!!

"Good hotel, not great location"

8.0

Stayed on the "premium" side of the hotel. Rooms were fine. Decent internet. Quality beds/sleep. Seemed pretty clean. Breakfast is okay, but not great. By far the biggest drawback from a tourist's standpoint is location. The location is not dangerous or even particularly unattractive it is just way too far from the center of town. Getting back to the hotel can be difficult unless you are willing to satisfy the mercenary taxi drivers demands.
