Akropolis Guest House

The hotel was open (I really wasn't sure when I first arrived) but still getting ready for the season. Perhaps not the best time to judge it, but the experience was a bit underwhelming. A basic hotel with little to make it stand out. Wifi does not work in the bedrooms.

It was raining and cold when arriving we were warmly welcomed served coffee and the check in was so easy and relaxed just like the owners It was very very clean and touched with ornaments and decorations making it feel very turkish loved it We were upgraded to upstairs lovely view of courtyard and area if rain hadn't been pelting down The mother served a typical turkish breakfast very plentiful indeed and delicious She would have happily kept bringing out food if wanted Would recommend this hotel to all visiting the area Close to all tourist sites

The owner is super nice and the hotel is charming. The kitchen lady was super nice and friendly. They are building a new area and rooms which should be nice.

It is located near the Red Bascilita. The bus station to Izmir is just within walkable distance. Cable car to the Acropolis is also within 5 min walk from the hotel. What we enjoy most is the relaxing swimming pool of the hotel.

If you are staying in Bergama for just a night or two to see the ruins of Pergamon, this hotel is fine. Very small family run pension. Polite staff. Small but clean pool. Simple continental breakfast included in price. About ten minute walk from downtown Bergama. Ten minute walk to cable car running to top of the Acropolis, which is amazing. Not very fancy, but quiet, quick and clean

This was a good place to stay. Nice and clean and quiet neighborhood. I had a place to park my rental car as well.

Akropolis was the perfect place to stay while we were in Bergama. It is right next to all main attractions and the owners were extremely hospitable. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was too cold to swim in the pool, but the courtyard was very lovely to sit in and sip the afternoon tea that was brought to us each day. The owners speak English and are very helpful. We thought about staying in Izmir and taking a bus into Bergama for the day, but we were happy we decided to stay in Bergama instead. We recommend spending three nights in Bergama to have enough time to visit all the attractions. We absolutely loved our stay at Akropolis and would definitely come again.

From the minute we arrived we were so happy we chose this traditional style homely hotel. It was perfect except for the not so soft bed but that's being picky. The staff are so relaxed and also helpful. Great place.

I have stayed here twice in the past five years. Obviously, I do recommend this place wholeheartedly. It has everything you may want in Bergama: clean rooms in a quiet courtyard (the rest of Bergama can be busy and noisy), a refreshing pool, friendly family staff, and a perfect location (tugged away closer to the Acropolis entry than other places, but still around the corner from downtown). And there will always be someone who speaks good English. Unless you want to overpay for a boutique, this is the absolutely best price/service deal. Highly recommended.
