Akropolis Guest House

Our family wanted to visit the Roman /Greek ruins at Bergama and the Akropolis Guest house was recommended to us. I recommend it to you! Very welcoming, speaking English and German, ideally situated and in a cosy converted farmstead. We stayed during Ramadan but had no conflicts with food or drink (!) and enjoyed some good meals. The pool is small but nice, the rooms are a good size and the wifi works well (essential for teenagers!). The beds were a bit hard and some decor is a bit dated but all very clean with aircon etc and the hosts were so keen to see us right.

This hotel is a gem. Bergama is a lovely town and this hotel added to the great experience we had there. The family that run the place are very helpful and seem to genuinely care that you are satisfied. The rooms have everything you need and the breakfast is more than adequate. I cannot recommend a visit to Bergama and this hotel highly enough. We were thinking of doing a day trip to Pergamun but are so happy we decided to stay couple of nights instead.

The family who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful, and were able to create a nice environment inside an old farmstead. Swimming pool was an added plus. Not luxurious, but price was reasonable.

Wonderful people run this hotel. So very helpful. They dropped us off at the bus stop just to be nice. Reasonable price. Walking distance to the ruins.

This hotel met all our needs. The breakfasts were excellent....great variety of items offered: fresh tomatoes, fresh bread, eggs to your choice etc.and fresh juices. The room was well equipped with fridge, hair dryer and very clean. The owner is very knowledgeable as he is from Bergama and very helpful to us for our travel needs.

We were surprised by the outside neighborhood where the parking was because it did not look great, but when we opened the door to the hotel's courtyard it was a great little quiet area with a swimming pool and nice garden. The rooms were decent, but it was strange to have the toilet sitting in the shower drainage area of the bathroom. Overall a nice place for the price.

Excellent vegetarian meals available; delicious pomegranate dressing on salad. Good service and our room was upgraded at no additional charge. Would stay here again.

The highlight was of course the ancient city of Pergamum. The hotel is very close to the funicular which takes you up to the acropolis. Perfectly pleasant hotel with friendly owners and staff.

This hotel is run by an excellent family who will make you feel at home the moment you step through the door. The best example of the best that Turkey has to offer.
