Location & grounds were lovely. Reception staff were great & breakfast very nice. Room was comfy.

Room felt a little tired. Peeling skirting board. Part of the shower screen was missing so that water splashed all over the loo seat. No fridge in the room. Trying to get a drink in the spa took ages. Did not feel like a 4*hotel that paid £200+ for.

"Great little staycation. Love the spa."

Lovely location. Spacious room. We had a ground floor with a patio area. The cows 🐄 were friendly. Breakfast was good. Loved the spa! Loved the shooting!

The bar had very little ambience. No music. Silence. Not very cosy to sit in when empty.

Food was good. Waiting and reception staff were good. Treatments at Spa were expensive. Spa would benefit from a cold plunge pool.

Cleanliness. Asked for a bottle with stubbed out cigarettes in it to be removed from the room but we ended up dealing with it ourselves. A previous guest had left a pair of trousers in the cupboard. Bed was uncomfortable. Cost of drinks in the restaurant and bar were too expensive.

Little things like the bathroom dispensers didn’t work. Expect more at this price. Breakfast average. Veggie sausages not the best.

"Luxury in Yorkshire."

Very friendly staff , Lesley was memorable in breakfast room and receptionist when we arrived. Location near Skipton. Large free car park. Spacious room, very comfortable bed and great shower Breakfast was very good lots of choice of pastries. Setting is lovely, lake and open fields. Will definitely be back.

Cost of spa, when we went over on Friday morning we weren’t allowed in pool as there was an aqua aerobics class going on and had to go back later. No fruit at breakfast.
