Typical small town hotel did what we wanted gave us a bed in the middle of things for a couple of nights would use it again

Definitely would have liked more water pressure in the shower. Hotel is quiet with gorgeous plants and colorful flowers around the pool. Very nice!

Quiet, clean, and spacious room. Hotel staff was accommodating.

Perfectly nice, somewhat run-down, but exactly in the middle of everything. Curiously, the rooms don’t have street noise. Altogether pleasant stay. They even let me check out late (3:00pm) for only 200 pesos.

We will definitely stay at Plaza Almendros again. Location and price is everything! We knew ahead of time that it was not a luxury hotel and that it was old. We knew ahead of time to request a room away from the street. We knew to bring a hair dryer. We loved that there was a pool. We loved being in the middle of el centro. We loved that it was clean, had a coffee maker, a microwave, and a fridge. We loved it was 2 blocks from the best beach on the island. Most of all, we loved the reasonable price, which meant we had money to spend on other things!

Great location with restaurants/entertainment, etc right out your door. Nothing fancy just clean rooms and helpful staff. Coffee pot did not work upon arrival but they replaced with a new one within minutes. Could use a little more lighting over the sink area for makeup or shaving. Didn't use the pool as the weather wasn't the greatest and the beach being so close. We would definitely stay here again. One thing I read in the reviews that I could see happening is if your room is close to the street you will definitely hear some night noise from the music but we were fine in our room. Besides the coffee maker our room had a microwave, fridge and toaster as well as a couple of plates, cups etc. One big thing that might have made me rate a little higher would be for purified water in the rooms or give the option of purchasing a 5 gallon bottle. We had to make frequent stops to purchase bottled water.
